If you've seen some of my posts before, you know I am a fan of baking bread. I have an awesome little bread maker and I do enjoy the entire experience from adding raw ingredients to eating a slice with butter. https://liketu.com/@epodcaster/baking-bread-on-a-cold-day It's fun. With the colder weather we've been havign lately, it's kicked in my homemade bread craving. But instead of pulling out the bread maker and all the necessary ingredients to make bread from scratch, I decided to try out the Thaw, Rise, and Bake Dinner Rools by [https://rhodesbakenserv.com/dinner-rolls/](Rhodes BakeNServ)
There are 36 frozen rolls in dough format. First you put them in a pan and cover for 3-5 hours. I opted for 4 hours. This gives the dough time to defrost and rise. Before I put it in the oven to bake I sprinkled some Italian Seasoning and Garlic Powerder on top. Then put it in my preheated oven for 350ºF for 15-20 minutes. I opted for 15 minutes.
It turned out rather well. I was pleased with the results The rolls were pretty to look at and downright tasty. One of the things I liked about using this simple method was that the oven warmed up the house and made a cold day warm and toasty. And of course the smell of bread always makes the house smell and feel cozy. I have done this twice and still have plenty of frozen rolls to bake and eat for several more meals.
We have some really cold weather coming next weekend. I'm sure I'll be making more of these soon. So, if you'd like a shortcut to delicious "homemade" bread/rolls, then this is an excellent option.

Don't forget to try the Rhodes Cinnamon Rolls. I add butter to the "frosting" they give you, and it makes the frosting taste much better.
When I would make bread by milling my own wheat, I would make enough dough for 5-6 loaves at a time. Some would be made into rolls, some into bread, and sometimes I'd put into loaf shape or small roll shapes and freeze so I could use the "Rhodes" method later.
I say "sometimes" because if I made bread, the whole neighborhood seemed to be at my door and those 5-6 loaves would be gone in an instant. And with four children at home (at the time), they wouldn't last long, either.
This was my first experience with Rhodes. I like it so far. Thanks for the tip on adding butter to their cinnamon roll frosting. Will definitely give that a try.
