El resultado valió la pena, las fotos quedaron increíbles, el contraste de luces y sombras reflejaba perfectamente la esencia de la ciudad: resiliente, llena de contrastes, de belleza en medio de las dificultades. Yesterday, after dinner with my parents, we went for a walk to the park. The whole city was plunged in a blackout, but as always, La Marqueta square stood out with its illumination and life. It is a corner that never ceases to amaze me: bars operating despite the darkness, with electric plants and alternative energy, full of colors and decorations that create a magical atmosphere. I have always loved that place, and I hope one day to be able to sit there at night and enjoy it up close.
We continued walking, and when we reached Calixto Garcia Park, only one spot broke the gloom: the E. Saratoga Hotel. Its illuminated facade stood out in the darkness, like a lighthouse in the night. I could not resist capturing the moment, although I must admit that I did it with some fear. In a blackout, a cell phone on can be a temptation for anyone, but still, I took the risk.
The result was worth it, the photos turned out amazing, the contrast of lights and shadows perfectly reflected the essence of the city: resilient, full of contrasts, of beauty in the midst of difficulties. And so, between the dim light of the streets and the distant glow of the bars, we continued on our way.
