Do you remember my dog? If not, please feel free to check my last blog about him.
As we may know, Mother's Day is always celebrated in the Month of May. So, Ayala Mall Central Block IT Park decided to have a whole month celebration dedicated to all mothers out there. Of-course mothers don’t only pertain to those who gave birth to us. For me, mothers are those who gave their love, support, and care even to someone not related to them. Someone who gives us home.
It actually made my heart melt because Ayala decided to acknowledge the people who took responsibility for being someone’s home. And by ‘someone’, I mean dogs. So, one of the activities that were held in Ayala was called "Furmommies" where you can adopt and get free anti-rabbies, vaccination and deworming from the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Fisheries. You might say, ‘this is not a treat for the furmommies, its for the dogs!’ and it might be true, but it's actually for both. Because of all the sacrifices, furmommies do to give their dogs a home they deserve, dogs too provided us a feeling of being at home. It’s a win-win situation.
Anyways, being cooped up at home with my dog and not being able to continue his vaccination, the activity in Ayala was an opportunity I could not waste. So, we decided to get our dog an anti-rabies for this year and we are very proud of him because he never had any violent reactions. He was so calm and brave when the vet poked the needles at him. If anything, he’s more scared of the small dogs surrounding the areas. LOL
When everything was done, I felt so much relief because bullet is not getting any younger. We obviously don’t know what will happen in the future, a bullet might accidentally bite somebody (although I pray that’ll never happen) and I want to be responsible not just for my dog but for anyone that we might hassle. That is why we are beyond thankful for having this kind of opportunity for our dog.
Taking a shot was definitely worth the shot. ❤️💉
