I believe that for the time being the event is still too small to generate interest for people from very far away. Due to the size of Brazil, coming from other countries ends up being very expensive for an event of only 8 hours.
As the intention is to have a monthly meeting, our plans are to announce it an average of 3 weeks before the event. This one was announced too late because it was sponsored by a community and we were waiting for their logo to be put on the flyer and banner, but the person who closed the sponsorship deal with us stopped replying and we ended up delaying the publicity and production of the graphic materials for this reason, but the next one we'll be organizing this far in advance.
Oh that sounds stressful but good that you got it on track :) Yeahh I mean you don't know everybody from Brazil I assume. So even for them it will be great to have it 3 weeks before on the map :) Just announce it in the buzz-party community and we will do the rest for you!
Yes, having the event on the map is really important! Besides, since the idea is to do several editions, even if someone finds out too late to plan for this one, they already know that there should be others and they stay connected and prepared for the next one!
