Thanks so much. You probably hold the answers to many questions I have about breeding. That I do find interesting. Plus there many more thoughts I like to share with you to see if it's a Watson thing or a breed thing, lol

I know the dams don't last as long as the sires when it comes to breading. How long is the breeding expectancy for each?

You can breed the dams from age 2 up to age 6, with a maximum of 4 litters. However if the have to have a c section, they can only have 2 litters. This applies to ethical kc breeders, but there are many unethical breeders that don’t abide by this unfortunately. The males are able to sire litters from maturity until end of life in theory

No we keep ours with us as they are our babies 🥰
