Hello there, amazing people!

What a day it's been! I was all set to go to bed when suddenly, hunger struck. Late-night snack cravings are no joke! Today, the rain put on quite a show with thunder and lightning that could rival a concert. It poured buckets, almost turning our patio into a mini-swimming pool. After a few hours of non-stop rain, the skies finally cleared up. During the thunderstorm, I stayed up indoors and I'm not exactly besties with thunder and lightning. I switched off the TV and dove into the endless scroll of Facebook nostalgia. I stumbled upon flashback photos from a few years back when my friends from Baguio picked me up and my daughter and right after, we headed off to Villas Buenavista for a beach and pool escapade right here in town. Just a few blocks from our house. Today, I'm feeling all nostalgic and ready to share some snaps from that epic day at the resort.

Get ready for a virtual tour down memory lane!

Brief Introduction:
Villas Buenavista is not your run-of-the-mill hotel; it's a slice of paradise nestled here in my town of San Juan, La Union. Try to imagine waking up to the symphony of crashing waves and the invigorating scent of the sea breeze. This Mediterranean-style gem boasts a poolside bar and restaurant with a stunning view of the beach and the ancient ruins of a watchtower, adding a touch of history to your tropical getaway. Although summer is over, Villas Buenavista has it all, from surfing lessons to a cool outdoor pool and a soothing sauna for post-adventure relaxation. Located smack dab in the heart of San Juan, this place is your ticket to beachfront bliss. This resort has something for everyone, whether you're a beach bum, a food aficionado craving tasty treats, or a sun worshipper looking to catch some rays by the pool. When it comes to accommodations, Villas Buenavista has you covered with a range of rooms. They range from snug standard ones to lavish executive villas. And let's not forget the poolside bar, where you can sip on tropical cocktails while soaking up the sunshine. Need a little pampering? Treat yourself to a rejuvenating massage or simply kick back by the pool and soak in the serene vibes.

The Memories:
So this happened a few years ago today. While my daughter and I were relaxing at home, basking in the lazy weekend vibes, a spontaneous call from my friends in Baguio turned our day upside down in the best way possible. They were en route to pick us away for a day of sun, sea, and salty air at Villas Buenavista. As we arrived at the resort, the promise of a day filled with laughter and relaxation hung in the air. Our first order of business? Indulging in a feast of authentic Filipino dishes that tantalized our taste buds. From the savory Pinakbet to the comforting Sinigang, every bite was a celebration of local flavors. Seafood delights, steaming pansit, and the rich flavors of kare-kare completed our culinary journey, leaving us satisfied and ready for the poolside fun that awaited. With our bellies full and spirits high, we wasted no time diving into the inviting pool waters. Laughter echoed through the air as my friends and my daughter splashed and played. As they enjoyed the refreshing pool, I took on the role of the designated photographer, capturing every candid moment and scenic view that caught my eye.

Let me paint you a picture of the resort's architecture, as you see in the photos. It's like stepping into a Mediterranean dreamland. The buildings boast a stunning gray-white color scheme, reminiscent of a seaside villa straight out of a travel magazine. I believe they're crafted from marble or some fancy architectural material that screams sophistication. Walking through the resort feels like a mini-vacation abroad, with every corner exuding a charm that's rare to find in the resorts I've explored in my town or across the country. It's a breath of fresh air and a touch of elegance that set this place apart from the rest. Adding to the joy of the day was our furry friend, our beloved dog (sorry, not in the photos), who joined in the excitement, wagging her tail in pure delight. Watching her frolic around the pool area added an extra layer of happiness to an already perfect day. As the sun dipped below the horizon, we felt a sense of pure bliss wash over us. Our spontaneous escape to Villas Buenavista had turned into a magical journey, a haven where relaxation, laughter, and unforgettable moments with our nearest and dearest intertwined. It was a day brimming with laughter, shared stories, and the thrill of unexpected escapades. It was a day etched forever in the depths of our hearts, a memory we'd treasure for a lifetime.

If you're after a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure, Villas Buenavista is the place to be. I can't wait to go back!

Until our next travel adventures, my friends. Thank you for visiting and goodnight! Bedtime for me!
