!LADYThose are called Camellias, @bozz. They have beautiful, rose-like flowers and their leaves are rounded and smooth, without any thorns. Camellias come in a variety of colors and are known for their lush, glossy foliage. They can be a stunning addition to your garden or as a potted plant indoors. Try Camillias! They are hardy!

I'll have to look into that. We have some roses in the back that I have managed not to kill yet, but I don't feel like they are thriving the way they could. Though I usually cut them back each fall too, so that could be part of the reason.
