I turned 22 a month ago(April 14th🥳🥳). I’d definitely attach pictures from my birthday buffet so you all could see how pretty I and my friends looked🥰😂(proud yeah?)
People say age is just a number but I think somehow you tend to feel yourself growing old. Few days to my birthday I know I had this feeling “ oh my God I’m no more a child and I can’t keep acting like a child,I’m an adult now and all of that rush😩”very scary. I got this happy,free,lonely and confused feeling all at the same time. My emotions constantly fluctuating because I’m learning to navigate in the real world which is actually terrifying😳😬.
Meeting up with deadlines is another battle I face because I can’t even use the excuse of how young I am anymore😂😢. Your job will hate you, some friends will hate you. You definitely have to learn to be more reliable because believe me if your actions start saying you are unreliable people will start believing it.
It really feels good to be 22 too😊,no joke. Maybe I’m close to being comfortable with who I am as a person or maybe comfortable knowing I am still figuring it out and trust me it’s the most liberating thing that is happening to me🤗😀.
Gradually a lot of insecurities I had are slowly going away because somehow I’ve realized we are all beautiful to people who genuinely love us and people who can’t see that are definitely not worth your energy or time.
You can feel 22 at any age I think😉. I’m still figuring this whole adulthood out. I don’t know what being 22 feels like to you guys but I know it’s one of the happiest I’ve been🤍...
The older we become, the more we realized things ain't really the way we thought they were when we were younger.
I guess I forgot to say this - "Happy birthday in arrears."
