¡Hello people!
Para este segundo post luego de mi presentación, estuve un tiempo debatiéndome en que compartir con ustedes, y finalmente decidí mostrarles uno de los proyectos fotográficos y de coleccionista que más me ha robado el corazón: El Max Steel Viajero Venezolano. Este proyecto, como su nombre lo indica, es acerca de una figura de acción del conocido personaje Max Steel, la cual está viajando por el mundo en estos momentos, y del cual tuve la fortuna y el honor de formar parte. Pero permítanme contar la historia desde el principio.
For this second post after my introduction, I was debating about what share with you, and finally I decided to show you one of the photo and collector's projects that has stolen my heart: El Max Steel Viajero Venezolano. This project, as its name says, is about an action figure of the well-known Max Steel character, who is traveling around the world in these moments, and which I was fortunate and honored for take part on it. But let me tell you the story from the beginning.
Como ya he dicho en el post anterior, soy un coleccionista de corazón. Durante toda mi vida he tenido distintas colecciones, pequeñas y grandes, de distintos tipos, pero en los últimos años me dedique sólo a coleccionar juguetes (o al menos de manera principal). En este camino del coleccionista conocí a muchas personas de varios países, pero en el 2015, un grupo de coleccionistas venezolanos dedicados mayormente a las figuras de acción de escala 1/6 (aprox. 30 cm de alto), me invitaron a formar parte del proyecto Max Steel Viajero Venezolano. El proyecto constaba de una única figura del protagonista de esa franquicia que estaría visitando distintas ciudades de Venezuela y eventualmente otros países. Cada coleccionista-anfitrión recibiría la figura, y la llevaría de paseo por su ciudad, para tomarle fotos en los lugares icónicos o turísticos de esa ciudad. Luego de una semana, el coleccionista-anfitrión enviaría la figura a otro participante, y así sucesivamente. Al saber de esto y recibir la invitación, acepté con mucha emoción, sobre todo porque mi ciudad (Cumana – Sucre – Venezuela) estaba por cumplir 500 años de fundada en aquel año (2015), y la oportunidad de recorrerla con este invitado era única.
As I said on previous post, I’m a heart's collector. During my entire life I have had various collections, small and big, of many kinds, but on recent years I was dedicated to collect only toys (or principally at least). On the collector's way I meet many people from over the world, however on 2015, a Venezuelan collectors group, who was principally dedicated to collect 1/6 (aprox 12" tall) figures, invited me to take part on the Max Steel Viajero Venezolano project. This project consist of an unique action figure of that franchise which will travel over many cities of Venezuela and eventually other countries. Every collector-host will get the figure and take it with her/him on a tour over the city, and the collector-host would take photos of the figure on touristic and/or iconic city's places. After a week, the collector-host would ship the Max Steel to another member, and so on. When I knew about this and I was invited, I was excited and accepted immediately, even more because my city was about to arrive to 500 years of foundation on that year (2015), and the opportunity of take a tour on the city with this guest was unique.
A continuación, compartiré las fotos con ustedes. Confieso que no soy fotógrafo, simplemente tengo una Cybershot de Sony, quizás un buen ojo, y hago lo mejor que puedo. Las fotos NO son montajes, sólo decidí darle un pequeño giro a las reglas y tomar las fotos de cierta manera que ya ustedes verán, y espero les gusten. Y para no tener problemas con el derecho de autor, únicamente compartiré mis fotos, si quieren ver más del proyecto Max Steel Viajero Venezolano, pueden buscarlo en las redes sociales.
Now I will share with you the pictures. I must confess that I'm not a photographer, I have a simple Sony's Cybershot, maybe a good eye, and I do my best. All the pictures are NOT a photomontage or something like that, I only decided to give a little turn to the rules and take the photos on some way that you will see, and I hope you like it. And for avoid any copyright problem, I will share here only my photos, if you want to know more about the Max Steel Viajero Venezolano Project, you can search on the social networks.
Para cerrar, me gustaría decirles que este proyecto me motivó a adentrarme más en este tipo de fotografía, al punto de que actualmente tengo un Max Steel el cual ha viajado conmigo por distintas ciudades y países. En otros post estaré compartiendo esas salidas fotográficas.
For last, I like to say that this project motivated me to go through this kind of photography, to the point of bought a Max Steel figure, which has traveled with me for some cities and countries. On another post I will share with you those photos and travels.
