Actually, I wanted to make a post today, complaining about much work and no time and so on, but then I read @papilloncharity's post "A Sunday of dark and light" ...
I have nothing to complain
... and after reading Zac Smith's post I decided that I have nothing to complain about.
Zac shows us photos of his beautiful home country South Africa where they suffer from poverty and a couple of power cuts every single day. But does he complain? No, he doesn't. He helps the poor and takes the power cuts as opportunity to get out and enjoy what Mother Nature has to offer, no matter if the sun is shining or if it rains.

The Lindlingalm is an area at the end of the Glemmtal / Glemm Valley where the huge and well known ski area Saalbach-Hinterglemm is. Sometimes you can see ice climbers on this waterfall. |

In the past weeks I have had a lot to do at work and the weekends were reserved for family businesses. In the weeks and months to come it will be the same, at least at work. So, I didn't have much time to get out for photography and if I did get out, the weather wasn't the best most times.

First it was totally cloudy so I actually wanted to go back to the house but then I saw some colors in the sky and the sunrise got quite nice after the clouds cleared a bit. So it was worth getting up before the others and hike up the mountain behind the house. |

The time when Winter ends and Spring arrives is mostly dull and gray and especially in the past years I believe the transitional period between Winter and Spring takes longer and so we live longer in this gray and sad environment before the colours and fresh smells arrive again.

Actually, I haven't been in the mood to make a post after long and exhausting days at work and especially after a 24-hour shift from Saturday till this Sunday morning. But the weatherman was wrong and we got a lovely sunny and warm Spring day in Winter, and so I am sitting in my van right at the lake while typing these words after reading Zac's post.

The photos in this post are from the past two weekends which I have spent with my family and my wife's family. At first, we have had a kind of family holiday revival at the place where we used to spend all our skiing holidays until our kids decided they don't like going skiing anymore, which was Sallbach-Hinterglemm ... and my wallet said "thank you" 😉
The weather was warm and the little amount of snow was melting - not the kind of winter holidays you might expect, but we have had a lot of fun together, and that's why we were there anyway.

The second weekend we have been about the same people when we visited our daughter and our niece who live in Lower Austria. Bad weather there and I missed the snowfall in the morning. The few photos I took after the snowfall would have been great if it still had been snowing, I believe.

About an hour before it was snowing big and fluffy snowflakes in the area of St. Pölten in Lower Austria, but after we had finished our breakfast it stopped and so I could take these images only. |

They say an Austrian who doesn't complain must be ill or not a real Austrian... we always find something to complain about, and if there's nothing to complain about, we complain about it 😂 I think I should stop now before I really complain because Sunday is coming to an end, I'm very tired and already thinking about the mountains of work waiting for me on my desk 😅

The photos are magnificent, but I want to focus my comment on what you say at the beginning, normally when we complain about something we never think of other people, if we get to the moment when we compare ourselves with others, that's when we really reconsider and we we realize how lucky we are, but man we are human at certain times we can complain just a little since life has circumstances that sometimes overwhelm us
You're so very right with what you're saying, sometimes things happen which are just too much but later you realize it wasn't that bad.
A couple of years ago really bad things happened to my family, but now I think if they didn't happen, we would have gone another way and who knows if we would be as happy as we are now, because it all has turned out to more than only good.
And if we didn't have anything to complain then life would become boring, I believe.

Truly wonderful photos. I especially like waterfalls and the one with the splash of pink, Hannes. . I don’t think I would climb an icy waterfall but kudos to those that do.
Yes, we only have to get a glimpse of the trails and tribulations of others to appreciate what we have and not complain. Everyday on the news there is another tragedy. Besides the war in Ukraine, there is the earthquake and yesterday it was two trains colliding.

Good to know that you could have time off for holiday soon.
Yup! Inflation is rocketing and shortage in food supply is here soon too. Life is getting tough for many people; this year the suicide numbers have gone up in my country. But rich people made record profits!! Only if they donate some profits to helpless and unemployed people, there would be so much joy and reconciliation in my society.
We have to persevere in time of difficulties. There’s a silver lining behind the clouds.

Oh yes, I even have to consume at least 6 weeks holidays this year or they are lost for me. So, I will have quite some time off work, I think 😉
The rich mostly find ways to get richer, even when the times are bad for everyone else, and there are always some companies that make huge profits while others suffer. Luckily, it's not as bad here, but the prices have increased a lot - now you have to think twice if you need something.
These times will go by and one hopefully soon day we all will smile, I believe.

All work no play? No good, those mountains blanketed in shades of red a delightful sight to enjoy, flush of pink on snow top another beauty to behold!
Open fields on the lower reaches of the land with slight white blanket surrounding little trees, one day they will be large and sturdy enough to fight the challenges of weather.

How very much we have become dependent on being connected, yet it is a false security.
At the end of the day if we have Apps to call for assistance, when there is no power there is no connection, fat help that is! Living alone one would need to deal with so many instances we no longer consider being suburban dwellers, to me that is a scary thought.
Sharing is not a problem, if people respect each others space and go about life quietly, it's the constant having to talk that drives me crazy !LOLZ
