So, this is part 2 of my Dandelion-Waterdrop Photography (Just think positive) which I have continued yesterday afternoon, and thinking positive worked somehow, because today I can show you some results 😊 |
Catch a Rainbow
Dandelion Seeds and Water Drops
I know the photos are far from perfect, but I have never shot such images before and I am quite positively surprised, because after some Photoshop editing I kind of liked the images myself 😉 Again, I have made some mistakes, haven't broken a glass again though ;) |

This time I used my computer monitor as background, which showed an abstract colorful background and I illuminated the dandelion seed with my new RGB LED Video Light, which I have set to change colors randomly. This combination produced a quite colorful image - even more colorful than I had thought. At first I wanted to photograph a bunch of seeds together, still attached to the seedhead and spray some water drops on them to get a nice photo as I had it in my mind. But that was my first mistake, because with the first spray of water all seeds flew away 😉 My second mistake actually was not that bad in the end: I wanted to add a bigger water drop to the single seed which I photographed after my first mistake, but it went wrong and the hair of the seed wrapped around the drop. That wasn't intended, but it made the drop of water look like a little rainbow caught. Somehow I liked this image more than the one I actually wanted do make and so I kept it. |

I was amazed when I looked at the first photo with the rainbow in the seed. It turned out great and couldn’t be planned any better Johann.
I couldn't repeat if I wanted ;)
It was fun - without the crisis and the lockdown I would never have thought about some of the photos which I have taken lately ;)

Howdy sir johannpiber! You mean to say that the top photo is of a water drop being caught by a dandelion seed? I never would have guessed that, it's amazing!
I like that photo too, but when I dropped the water drop on the seed I first thought that I had messed it all up again ... and then I saw that rainbow effect and liked what I have done 🙂You like it? Thank you so much @janton 🙂

just ordered yesterday some third hand clip thingies so I can try some macro fun shots at home, they should be delivered on Friday , meanwhile I did clear a table my Wife had in her bedroom so I could use it for some photo shoots and did some yesterday with Bahbahra but where it is the light is terrible so I may move it today into a another room, and try some more, busy charging up my batteries for my flash units, they may finally get some use LOL
Love the colors you got with your RGB LED Video Light, I may have to look those up see if I can find a cheap one

I think the Photoshop editing saved the photos, but the next will be different and hopefully better too - I'm also waiting for some things from amazon ;)
Its all about having fun I think, I tried a few things today but not really happy with them, but lets see if some editing can save them

Ohh yeah, I did have a set of drawers in that corner which I moved and stole/borrowed my wife table, those lights have been sitting in the garage for years, never used them in this house so good to use them,
Now the batteries for my two flashes are all charged, so I may have to try them, I have only used them once since I bought them LOL

Yes, my friend, it's good afternoon and I am riding home in a few minutes. Hopefully I won't get wet, because it is getting quite darkoutside - gray rainclouds are on the sky ;)
I have also to learn how to use my flash - it is always a try and error thing.
If it's raining this afternoon I think I'll do some macro experiments or I could also educate myself via Youtube and fall asleep probably ;)

trying to think of something to try with my camera around the house, looking forward to Friday when the third hand clamps arrive I have some idea for what to try with them :)

What a coincidence - right before you wrote this comment the Engage app told me that my name was mentioned in a chat on @abh12345's blog and I have read there that you joined the league again ;)
My fingers are still hurting and haven't stopped bleeding yet, and to be honest, I have really enjoyed the last months of silence, but I have also seen the numbers each Sunday, which are growing only very slowly.
Do you think we could help boost them? I wonder if @janton will join too, because I haven't heard anything from him for weeks. Maybe I have offended him somehow.
But anyway, if all the old engagers are back as well as you are back in the league, I might also give it another try, but I'll stop if my fingers tell me to ;)
I think I will be down the list a bit I am not so active with commenting as I used to be, but I guess time will tell, will be good to have all the old names including ours back in the list
I haven't done much commenting, but mostly replying to comments. I will have to force myself to not only vote the posts, but also write some words into the comment box below the posts, just as I have done so many times a few months ago ;) This means I will spend more time at the computer again.

Yeah I am the same most of my typing is replying to comments, if someone comments I feel I have to reply even though I know a lot of others don't feel that way
My commenting of posts other than Wednesday Walk posts is a lot less than it used to be , I have a few who I comment on their posts, but mainly because they comment on my posts and we have good interaction, such as with you :)
I used to try and comment on almost tall posts I would upvote, but with many of those I never got replies or comments from them and that's why I cut back on doing that, and I don't think I will start doing that again
I also have to reply, even if I make just a smiley like in my last reply ;) lol
But sometimes when I just get a smiley I don't reply anymore - it's hard though 😉
I have never commented on all posts I upvoted, just the ones I really liked a lot - when it was really worth to think about some nice words ;) and as you I have some people which almost always get a comment - sometimes I don't have time or forget though.
So, it's already raining outside and I think I'll stay a little bit longer - maybe the rain stops or I drive home with my wife 🙂
