Fantasía-Espíritu-Pesadilla-Sueño / Fantasy-Spirit-Nightmare-Dream
El Filósofo alemán Friedrich Nietzsche (uno de mis favoritos) en uno de sus más famosos libros “Más allá del bien y del mal” dejo plasmada una frase que seguramente para algunas personas (incluyéndome) ha sido razón para pasar largas horas reflexionando sobre el trasfondo de esta; dice así:
The German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche (one of my favorites) in one of his most famous books "Beyond Good and Evil" left a phrase that surely for some people (including me) has been reason to spend long hours reflecting on the background of this; it goes like this:

“Quien con monstruos lucha cuide de no convertirse a su vez en monstruo. Cuando miras largo tiempo a un abismo, también éste mira dentro de ti”.
"He who fights with monsters beware of becoming a monster himself. When you look for a long time into an abyss, the abyss also looks into you".
Siendo un poco más claro, la frase hace referencia al cuidado que debemos tener al criticar las acciones de otros, puesto que esta misma acción nuestra puede acabar por convertirnos en ese “mal” que tanto queremos eliminar. Por lo general cuando se desea luchar contra un “monstruo” la persona involucrada termina convirtiéndose en uno ya sea manera consciente o no.
Being a little clearer, the phrase refers to the care we must take when criticizing the actions of others, since this same action of ours can end up becoming that "evil" that we want to eliminate so much. Usually when we want to fight against a "monster" the person involved ends up becoming one, consciously or not.

Es fácil percibir como esta situación se apodera de la mayoría de nosotros, ejemplos puntuales son la política y la religión, 2 temas extensos y tal vez separados desde algunos puntos de vista pero estrechamente relacionados cuando 2 más personas difieren en un modo de pensar.
It is easy to perceive how this situation takes hold of most of us, specific examples are politics and religion, 2 large and perhaps separate topics from some points of view but closely related when 2 or more people differ in a way of thinking.
Bosque Oscuro / Dark Forest
La soberbia es uno de los grandes males de la humanidad y una de las razones (a mi parecer) que nos termina llevando a convertirnos en monstruos y permitir que el abismo vea dentro de nosotros; creemos ser mejores que nuestros semejantes, ya sea por el nivel socio económico, académico, tendencia política o creencia religiosa, sin darnos cuenta que terminamos siendo lo que tanto criticamos.
Pride is one of the great evils of humanity and one of the reasons (in my opinion) that ends up leading us to become monsters and allow the abyss to see inside us; we believe we are better than our peers, either by socioeconomic level, academic, political tendency or religious belief, without realizing that we end up being what we criticize so much.
Cada ser humano es un abismo en sí, lleno de infinitos defectos y virtudes capaces de generar un sinfín de emociones en los demás.

Pero no todo está perdido si el abismo llegase a ver dentro de nosotros; si logramos alcanzar el estado de conciencia en el cual nos demos de cuenta donde nos encontramos, quizás, podamos librarnos de este y tomar otro sendero, de igual manera podríamos terminar convertidos en el monstruo contra el cual lucharíamos y caminando eternamente en el abismo.
But all is not lost if the abyss comes to see inside us; if we manage to reach the state of consciousness in which we realize where we are, perhaps, we can free ourselves from it and take another path, even though we could end up becoming the monster against which we would fight and walk eternally in the abyss.
