A Glimpse Of Me - Introductory Post

NINETEEN NINETY-THREE:

8th in December I was born on that year and the youngest of five. I’m a Filipina-Cebuana in my 20’s with tiny curly hair and brown glazy eyes. I am quite small but have big dreams in life. Music is my companion. I really love to listen to the Kalimba instrument because it cleanses my soul and refreshes my mind. I am looking forward to knowing how to play it so I can do my own cover songs. I find it relaxing and a good stress reliever. I am an adventurous woman who cannot refuse offers when it is about road trips most especially when I am riding a motorcycle. It is my great escape from burdens in life and the chance for me to explore amazing spots.

WALK OF LIFE:
I took a Bachelor of Secondary Education, Major in English in one of the prestigious universities in my city. I was like an empty cup waiting to be filled with knowledge, an engine that needs to be fueled to explore new experiences and a lost soul looking for a strong foundation of education. Everything was new to me. Self-confidence is one of my best strengths which leads me to get more involved in helping society. I’ve been a Facilitator and Team leader then a Trainer in Civic Welfare Training Services. This organization is an eye-opener for the reality to witness those unheard problems of society. I was awarded as Cum Laude when I graduated in College. It is a payback through all the sacrifices I did. Way back 2014, I got my first job as an English teacher to 5th and 6th graders. This was the same year I got my license as a Professional Teacher. A year after, I decided to go abroad and try a new career but still I ended working in the British Academy in Dubai as an Assistant Teacher for 4 consecutive years.

It was a good place for me to develop my skills and educated in an advanced way. Having 16-20 students with different nationalities in a class was quite challenging but beneficial because I learned a new language, culture, and their way of living. I will cherish everything I had through ups and downs. Last July 2019, I decided to settle back here in my country. As of now I am working as a Home Based English Teacher. This is even more fun because I am working at home which means, more time with the family. I have unending goals in life that keep me moving forward. I can picture myself 5 years from now being more professional and well-educated.

MY LEISURE ACTIVITIES:

I have this aspiration of mine when it is in the field of cooking. Everything started when I was a kid. Me and my mother are best to pair up in food preparation. I am her buddy in our little “Carenderia” or known as Café. My acquaintance with her inspires me to cook and be creative. I am the type of person who is curious. I love to try something new like cooking different cuisines from different countries. It was a bit risky but the outputs prove how good cook I am that is how people defined me. Through modernization it is easier to scroll online for me to learn methods and have ample knowledge. It is an entertaining indoor activity when making my own recipes because I have to be consistent, organized and the plating should be catchy. The good compliments I received from the people who criticize my foods build my self-esteem and provoke me to carry on with what I have started. I considered cooking as my rehabilitation because I feel the freedom to explore beyond my limits. My thoughts in mind are clear and I feel calm. I’ve been to 5-6 hours cooking in one single day's experiences. When there are occasions for instance birthdays, fiestas, or family gatherings I am without exception. Instead of feeling exhausted, I endure positive accomplishments.

D.I.Y (DO IT YOURSELF)

Being an artistic person, I took advantage of how I can be benefitted. I am a fanatic of D.I.Y (Do It Yourself) because I can create unique pieces of work. I can transform stuff into something head-turning. I am more onto handy crafts. I really love putting myself in the stage of discovery because I believe this is where my curiosity explores. People nowadays are more interested in customized souvenirs so it is one of the top lists businesses to start with. There is a different feeling when I spare my time doing these crafts. It is like a room full of colors and positivity. This kind of responsibility takes a lot of effort and time before you can come up with a good project. I felt glad every time my clients appreciate my outputs through their positive feedbacks I can sum up everything is really a fun job to work on. The majority of my goal is dedicated to little ones or children who are fond of sweet treats and kiddy stuff. In my future posts I will show what are the steps on how to D.I.Y.

WRITING POEMS

My interests lie with Poetry where I can sharpen my communication. This kind of doing can enhance my sentence construction. Another benefit is in my vocabulary range which I could acquire new words. It is helpful because it expands and widens my learning when it comes to Poetry. Writing poems has a huge part in my life because I can express my thoughts and strong emotions in different scenarios of my life. I am more onto “LOVE” poems since the majority can relate to real-life experiences. I hope everyone will enjoy reading my poems soon.

PHOTOGRAPHY: SYMMETRY

I am not a professional photographer but I do love taking photos when there are patterns or mirroring.
I am obsessed with symmetry composition. It is virtually appealing through its sizes, shapes, and colors. I admire every single detail on it. I do not miss the chance to take a shot every time I will travel because every destination I’d been has its own history and it is overwhelming to have these kinds of images to keep and be part of my collections.
