Good day hiveans. Compliments of the season to you all, I should have done this yesterday but alot of things got in the way. As most of us all know, yesterday was the Eid El Adha (Kabir) celebration. I enjoin everyone to keep promoting love,peace and all the significance of this great celebration
Eid al-Adha is the second and bigger of the two main holidays celebrated in Islam. It honors the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his son Ismail as an act of obedience to Allah's command.
Muslims commemorate the celebration with the slaughtering of ram/sheep/goat/cow/camel depending on on your budget,and of course it's not compulsory. Mind you, the slaughtering of animal is a sacrifice made to God. 1/3 of the meat is shared out to fellow Muslims who didn't slaughter any animal so that they can also celebrate and feel the impact of the celebration.
My family slaughtered a ram.
Yesterday I was so busy with helping with the cutting and sharing of meat I didn't even have time for myself. Well we thank God the celebration went smooth. May we witness more in good health (Amen.
