MY FIRST ARROWHEAD EVER!

in GEMS5 years ago

This was really cool! I may be addicted!

While exploring an island out in the lake yesterday, I happened upon what I believe to be my first Native American arrowhead. At this size, I'll go ahead and call it a spearhead, but it's quite a nice artifact. I knew that they were in this area, but I had never been able to happen upon one until now. Have you ever found an arrowhead? I think I'll have to go and actually look for some now. I kind of like finding them!

I'm blown away that this is the first one you have found. I have only found one in my life as well but I feel like you are the master at spotting things. Hahaha. We have a box full of them that my grandpa and dad found while farming. They would disk up the ground and then it would rain and wash the mud away and the arrowheads would be sitting on top.

WOW a nice find that's a bit of good history 👍

Looks like a nice one good luck in finding others.

That's amazing sir papa-pepper, I used to find them occasionally out in the fields in Kansas when I was a kid after it rained hard. It's a tremendous feeling to find one and wonder who made it, and was it used to kill game or an enemy...interesting stuff, I hope you find more.

So cool!
