RE: A Double Delight Tree Rose

in GEMS4 years ago

The many blooms greet me each day in the morning when I wake up and when I get home in the late afternoons from work... the yard is where I go to smell the air while I enjoy its beautiful flowers.

They'll be blooming for another week, after which I would deadhead each tired bloom. Temps here are very high, and I dunno if I could have another repeat bloom. I will let you know.

In the meantime, I am very pleased with this rose. I am glad to share it with someone who knows and is familiar with the variety of the rose.

Truly, you are a ray of sunshine, @dswigle!

If they go by the norm for tea roses, they tend to bloom on a 5-to-7 week cycle. After they finish blooming, they will rest a few weeks and then produce new flowers.

I'll be waiting! This is such a beauty you possess. How often do you feed it?

I feed it a weak solution of Miracle Grow once a week, as long as the temperature is below 90 degrees. And I have 4 Miracle Grow Flowering sticks embedded on the sides of the pot. I water it twice daily, in the morning and again in the afternoon. Several months ago, they had aphids and I used the 3 in 1 garden spray.
Ohh, I am enthused!!!

OMG! I have aphids on my rosebush right now! :( Why do they love my roses? It is full of blooms and I just sprayed them last night, hoping it doesn't kill my roses.

Le sigh.

Every time I see them, I am glad to see them before they do too much damage. I know I need to feel my plants a little, I never feed them. What kind of mother am I? ❤️

Hehehe... I only have a few plants outside, and a bit more (in numbers) inside the house... and that is how I am able to care for them. You prolly have thousand of plants!

No, but, my gardens are layered so that when the time is over for one plant, there is another coming in to replace it.
