Only shadows
Nizar is a scientist who studies a curious case of "monsters", supposedly seen in an empty house in a residential vacation complex of the people in the lab where he works. Because he is passionate about research, his colleagues challenge him to solve the mystery. So he would go to that house.
But something puzzling awaited him when he managed to cross the threshold of the house where the monsters were seen because some kind of strange force was preventing him from doing so. Inside, there were no monsters, but the shadows of the owners and, now, his own shadow.
He was frightened almost to the panic when he saw himself inside, for neither all his scientific training nor his logical mind prepared him to see that scene in which familiar people without a homogeneous body mass were participating in a meeting in which he was expected to be the main guest and, instead, it was his shadow that came forward to share with those present to their amazement.

He was paralyzed. He wasn't sure whether it was panic or some kind of spell, because I had no valid reason to give rational credit to what I was seeing.
"How is it possible for one's shadow to peel off and act on its own?" -He thought for a distressing moment that he seemed to be going mad or being the butt of a joke.
The atmosphere was lively, but he was ignored as if he didn't exist, while his shadow participated in the conspiracy to conquer life beyond the four walls that contain them, for now, and the vessels that don't value their importance. Because one is supposed to be one with his shadow, but without abandoning it or stopping looking at it as obvious.
To look at oneself without its reflection is like nullifying an important source of inner power that has an identity on the outside because there is no shadow of your shadow, you are you with your shadow.
Then, listening to the murmurs of the shadows, their reasons for rebelling and their ways of being seen, if they were to be seen, he became aware that he was in danger if they saw him as a threat...
"I must get out of here, it is not normal for a person to be present in a world of shadows. After he is safe, I will study this phenomenon. For now, I must leave this house discreetly."
But, the same force that made it difficult for him to enter, made it difficult for him to leave. So he struggled to move, to open the door, and he saw and felt everything in slow motion, slower and slower.
In that, his shadow came closer and helped him to open the door and it opened! Outside, he felt extremely warm, looked around, looking for a location, saw the walls of his room and his hands touched his wrinkled bedding.
