Hello all! I am happy to be new in the community 😊
Caring for others in the smallest way possible is always a sign showing that there is still a little humanity left in the world.
Last year I moved out of my home back to my parents for financial and other reasons. In this time I donated 4 refuse bags of clothes of which I had hold on to for way too long.
After having to squeeze all my stuff back in my closet at my parent's, since it became a place to store overflowing items of theirs while I was out of the house, I decided to re arrange and sort out again.
During this cleaning session I donated another 2 refuse bags.
The first set of 4 was donated to a local charity, called Helpende Handwho supplies clothes and literally any other items you can think of to the less fortunate. They have a thrift store as well, Ons Winkel, where they sell some of the items that gets donated to them.

There is a store located just down the road from me and with sorting out my closet the last time, I donated 1 bag to them, but another to a lady at my dad's work.
He came home after a long day's work and he almost started crying as he told me the story about how grateful she was when he gave her the clothes.
It is things like this that make everything worth it.
I am not the richest of people, but I have enough and if I can make a difference in someone's life, I am more than happy to.
In the end, one of the most satisfying things were to look at my closet and actually see all of my clothes amd not wonder where some of it is or take out anything and it os wrinkled.
Final result
I actually just want to stare at my closet and feel the calm.
