A whole lots of things can make a person stop loving their partner. However, some of the things may include the fact that it wasn't love in the first place, it could also be that they started noticing some traits in their partner that they didn't bargain for, also the partner may start acting out of line and sometime it may be that the individual started loving someone else and their partner becomes less desirable to them etc.. Like I said, it could be a lot of things
Conflicting values. That's actually one of the main reasons for divorces. A lot of people don't really make regular assessments of their own personal values and as a result, they don't really know how to look for a partner that is compatible with those values. That is a recipe for disaster.
It may take some time, but eventually the value incompatibility will cause the breakup
Actually, from my observation, the main reason for divorce is financial problems. Usually when the man loses his job and his wife is not understanding about it.

I'm not in support of this, some marriages stay stronger even with financial issues, sometimes the wife helps the man when he loses his job, supports him emotionally, physically etc..
Lack of attention. Lack of physical love. Lack of mental support. And also a lot of social and other variables. We can never guess what others think and feel. Gap in communication especially.
Fastest thing that can shatter the feeling of love towards a partner is lack of trust. If even though I don't stop loving as i think love doesn't die, it causes some form of separation, withdraw and breaking off from that person.
There are so many reasons why a person will stop loving his or her partner.
he or she might have fallen in love with another person.
2)if one feel cheated or caught the other in the act. "Betrayed"
if you feel unappreciated .
if you feel unattended to,or uncared for and you are being cared for by another.
5)distance could also be a good reason.
" Out of sight is out of mind"

Yea, but if you dig deeper into that, I believe the underlying reason is still the incompatibility of values.
