Good to see a healthy discussion here without 2 extreme sides bashing each other that they're stupid for having a different opinion! :-)
Got my first jab the other week, felt a little slow and tired after but that's to be expected when your body is creating it's defence. Nobody ever claimed it's 100% effective and it's not, there's even quite some variance in effectiveness between the different ones. Biggest takeaway is that it protects most from severe symptoms and by having a good percentage of the population vaccinated it helps keeping infection rates low.
Now for the reason that took my main concern away: where I'm from they actually also didn't claim it's 100% without side effects. Now that sounds like saying "hey we didn't test it and don't care if you mutate into an octopus or whatever." but the truth is no vaccine or medicine is 100% without POSSIBLE side effects.
It's the nuance that the benefit it provides as protection against covid outweighs the side effects it might have.
That’s obviously the truth and goes for any kind of medical treatment as well. Doctors always ask you to sign an agreement before any treatment which says you are aware that it could be taking your life away. But we just can’t stop taking treatments with that fear.
Taking this vaccine seemed necessary to save not only yourself but also the society from the pandemic.
