I know that Proof of Brain is a general topic community, but I was wondering if there's a topic which gets emphasized more then most. I'm sure posts about crypto are welcome, but if I wanted to post about something totally unrelated, what are the more common topics people post about here?
I haven't spent as much time at Proof of Brain as I had expected, but I hope to change that. I just need a bit of direction and focus.

Articles of different topics have their time in the sun. I would follow @AMR's articles on engagement for more details. I honestly don't know if we've done a particular trending on topics vs. engagements or awards.
One thing that will draw people to you here is engagement. People who are more familiar with you will seek out your work. Consistency is also important. Check out @wiseagent's frequency of posting, for instance, it's pretty impressive and he always puts out good quality articles.
There are many different flavors of writers in this community. Successful in their own right. They're all over the place in terms of writing style.

As a general topic community, I can post about anything here. I just don't want to waste time posting about dead cats when everyone is posting about shiba inus, or dirty socks instead of clean sheets.
It's true that some topics have their day in the sun, and that's what I was trying to figure out.

I myself do not know the actual post which are specific to pob community unlike CTP, Stem, weed, natural medicine and sports ltalk etc that have barriers to know you can post or tag to post in there community.
I myself do call Pob the heart of Hive, in my own understanding I define it to be the ground or platform that accommodate all posts in the ecosystem as a result of creativity.
I say that because when you take time to check you will see most post from other community that tag proofofbrain to there posts while proofofbrain post are limited to an extent.
I will just say we post article that are relevant from all angles to the community.
Exactly-- The communities and/or tribes you noted have a specific focus. Proof of Brain is open to all topics.
At any given moment some topic or other is the topic, and that's what I'm trying to determine before I post. If my post is on a topic no one cares about, then no one will read it. No one wants to see 0 upvotes with 0 comments.

I am so overwhelmed. This lottery is really becoming an interesting game. I am really thank you @vempromundo.pob. We need more such engaging initiatives on this platform. Whether we go to become leomarkettalk or not is a different question but POBtalk is a fantastic initiative.
Every tribe or community should have its own Talk chat/post. The one at LeoMarketTalk is busy, but it took a while to get that busy. Over time, POB Talk will be a busy place, and maybe even the center of POB!
POB gets much respect over at LeoFinance, too. It's growth, the performance of the token, the innovations being made-- POB is a community on the rise.

Welcome to the POB @lunacian, the issue your are facing is because of lack of resource credits. I would advice you to ‘Power Up’ whatever hive you get in rewards initially. To permanently increase the amount of resource credits your account can hold.
Alternatively you can also ask for some delegation of HP(Hive Power) from your referrer. Or buy some 3-4$ of hive and power it up.

Just assisted you with renting 11hp for 90days. It should help make up to 10 commands per day. Going forward, you will need more HP to interact more around here

BEER.It sounds like you fell victim to RC Blowout, and that put you in RC Jail. It happens to just about all of us as we start our journey on Hive.
Ultimately, the fix for RC Blowout is having sufficient Hive Power. However you end up getting it, the minimum amount of HP you need to avoid RC Blowout is within the sweet spot between 15 HP and 30 HP. I'm still trying to confirm this, but that's my guess.
The surest way to get more HP is as everyone else here has said: engagement. Making posts usually consumes @ 20% of your RCs, so it's OK if you just post when you can; but definitely upvote and comment and reply. Once the HPs start building up, everything you do has more impact (even voting power, which starts at 0.00 but progresses enough to where you begin to see curation rewards).

How many of you have got the Covid jab yet? What do you think about it? re you confident that it will help you keep safe from Corona?
My take - I did get my 1st dose of covishield vaccine. But I'm not very confident about the vaccine itself. It takes years to develop a vaccine and this one got out in less than 1 year. It might be effective in fighting Corona but you never know what will be the long-term repercussions. But we don't really have an option, it's like a rat race around the vaccine too. Just hoping I don't have an additional limb one day due to the vaccine, LOL.
I haven't taken the Jab and likely won't unless I'm forced to.

Haha, i have already got my first jab a month back. And you can be rest assured, it is not harmful. The vaccines aren’t developed from scratch, they are reiterations. Covishield contains virus of a chimpanzee which has been mutated to act like Covid virus. Moreover, vaccines in itself are never harmful because they don’t have potent virus. They contain a very small piece of dead virus, and when it gets injected in our body, it is perceived as a foreign element. As a result our body develops its natural defence (White Blood Cells) to fight the virus. But since there is no actual potent virus. Those cells remain in our blood stream and fight whenever an actual virus strikes.

Ahh, I see. Yes, it got developed so fast, but also way more than usual resources are utilised to speed up the process. Not every vaccine development receives government grants and top industry talent.
Anyway octopuses are lovely, you wouldn’t mind being one either. Imagine having 8 arms, you would be able to prepare a dish in 1/4th time ;).
I haven't got vaccinated yet , there are actually two reasons for that.
it's not possible at the moment because at my location the first dose is not available and people who got the first one are now ready for the second one as well that's available.
I have been worried about what might come out as after effects of this vaccine. You better know that there was no proper testing done of these vaccine and that we are the testers of these vaccine itself.
I hope there are no crucial side effects of any vaccine , I just hope.
Ya these are the doubts we all have. It's not been tested properly but there's not much of a choice we have. The results of the vaccine are quite promising, I have seen people at the age of 80 surviving the virus after they got their jabs done. So it is kind of effective for Covid atleast.
I'm not gotten the covid-19 vaccine yet but my brother got his on Sunday, though he complained to feel a bit weak am still checking up on him.

Got my first jab the other week, felt a little slow and tired after but that's to be expected when your body is creating it's defence. Nobody ever claimed it's 100% effective and it's not, there's even quite some variance in effectiveness between the different ones. Biggest takeaway is that it protects most from severe symptoms and by having a good percentage of the population vaccinated it helps keeping infection rates low.
Now for the reason that took my main concern away: where I'm from they actually also didn't claim it's 100% without side effects. Now that sounds like saying "hey we didn't test it and don't care if you mutate into an octopus or whatever." but the truth is no vaccine or medicine is 100% without POSSIBLE side effects.
It's the nuance that the benefit it provides as protection against covid outweighs the side effects it might have.
That’s obviously the truth and goes for any kind of medical treatment as well. Doctors always ask you to sign an agreement before any treatment which says you are aware that it could be taking your life away. But we just can’t stop taking treatments with that fear.
Taking this vaccine seemed necessary to save not only yourself but also the society from the pandemic.

Hmm less winners today? So the number of prizes varies daily depending on the amount of participants from now on?
Initially it was just 3 winners. As I had more than 10 participants I decided to increase it to 5, and when we had 20+ I decided to increase it to eight, we can continue with this projection for every 10 new unique participants. We never got to 30. We've had 20+ other times, but I hadn't thought about the issue of exponential rewards.
I don't think it's a bad thing, as more people have a chance of winning, the pool increases, it doesn't divide.
As there is the possibility to vote 10 times a day with the power at 100%, I believe it is possible to vote down the percentage, in several users, thus diversifying the winners.
