RE: POB Proposal : POB Photography 🧠📷

Your proposal solves some problems regarding image content on POB.

For downvote rules as in general, they will get a downvote if they post pictures on Google or take other people's pictures.

Do you mean images that are NOT original will receive a downvote? How would users indicate they took the image?

  • In @onealfa's posts, he indicates the type of camera or camera/lens he uses.
  • In other posts people would make a blanket statement that they captures all the images and list the camera they used.
  • I use the above as standards of whether or not to vote on an image.

I think one or the other standard would be fine.

  • Also, I like your word limit as it doesn't end up being just images slapped in to a post.
  • I would love to read about the thoughts the photographer had or WHY they selected the images. \
  • 300 words doesn't seem that bad.

So, can people take pictures of whatever they want? What about image quality? Ah, I'm reaching at this point. I like your proposal. The proposal part would be your request for either funding or curation trail support from @proofofbrainio. It will work, man. Once you get all the kinks worked out, then you can start running contests.

I don't think you can really do this. It's a matter of trust I think.
You can check sites like Tineye to see if the image is 'stolen'.

Yeah. That's about all you could do to check.

Ah yeah, I mean the image that not original. So it's like this, if someone posts an image on POB photography that doesn't belong to him and without giving the source where he took the image, then he will get a downvote. And if someone posts an image on POB photography that doesn't belong to him, but he gives the source where he took the image, he won't get the downvote. It's just that he won't get an upvote from me, because he posted an image that is not his own.

How would users indicate they took the image?

For that I haven't thought about it, and thanks for reminding me. I think it would be better if users wrote a little about the camera they used, and location shot the pictures in their posts.

300 words doesn't seem that bad.

Yeah 300 words is not difficult to write, and it won't make our brain dizzy to think about 300 words in our post. xD

So, can people take pictures of whatever they want?

Yeah sure, they can take picture anything. But yeah the upvote value depends on how beautiful their picture is in their post. xD

I just need proofofbrain support to follow my curation trail later, if this idea is liked by the community. :)
