Hello beautiful Hive community and coffee lovers like me. Without a doubt, coffee is one of my favorite beverages, and I can drink it in most of its presentations, such as cold brew coffee. On this occasion I wanted to share with you a little review of my visit to Granier, a chain of European bakeries and cafes in Venezuela. Are their cold coffees really good or bad?
I made this visit a little less than a month ago, and although it was an invitation to go out with friends, it served to give me a first impression of a product that if I were to go by choice is something I would normally order.
In my case I visited the headquarters of Granier in Lechería, Anzoátegui State, and I think it is one of the most beautiful and spacious coffee places in the area. Honestly the place is very modern, but at the same time it has certain details such as the light of the lamps that provide a warm atmosphere, something that is directly associated with coffee shops. It also has a terrace if you enjoy the breeze, the sky and the sunsets while you enjoy your good coffee.
Going straight to the point of this publication, our beloved coffee, I decided to order a caramel Iced Coffe. My opinion after tasting it, is that the caramel made a good contrast with the coffee, however the flavor was not so concentrated, that is to say, unlike their milkshakes like the vanilla one that I also tasted a little, in this one the caffeine was present but it was much sweeter than a pure coffee.
It was a large coffee, in presentation it was very nice actually, it was like a Pinterest worthy coffee, in that it is indeed very European. However, I think it is a cold coffee that should be paired with something else, something that is salty to be more specific. Since even though this coffee tasted very good, and is one of the ones I liked the most in its type, I feel that the amount of ounces you ingest plus the whipped cream, (which by the way I recommend uncovering it and eating it at the beginning) and the caramel syrup, is a sweetness bomb that ends up cloying you if it's the only thing you drink at the moment.
In conclusion, it was a nice first impression, but I would consider ordering another type of drink or salty snack, before consuming this one, I think it is more of a drink that you could even share with someone else if you are not that sweet tooth. The place if very nice, I would like to go again to enjoy the atmosphere inside, since the first time I was on the terrace. But far from my opinion, it is a good place to share with friends, go out alone to work or also why not, read a book.
