Oh my! I hope you're well. Your prose made me chuckle, as I too am one to make questionable decisions, moronic even, when in a state of exhaustion. Hell, I don't even need to be tired to do so haha
I'm part of that small percentage of people that get headaches triggered by virtually anything: dehydration, lack of sleep, too much food, too little food, lots of coffee, no coffee, crying too much, laughing too hard... Sounds awful I know, but I do my best to keep them at bay. I succeed... Most of the time.
Yesterday, for example, I was very sleep-deprived and made the brilliant choice to have coffee after 5 p.m. You see, I've dabbled with the art of being a barista plenty of times in the past, so I make a damn good latte, and I've learned how to replicate it at home with the equipment I have. A coffee was drunk, and yours truly lost the chance to get a good night's sleep due to poorly-timed caffeine ingestion.
But it was so good! I regret nothing haha
I'm definitely not the brightest spark in the box and probably won't last long when the zombie apocalypse sets in.
Yeah, excellent approach, make them believe you're not prepared. I'm sure you are though ;)
Hey Eliza
I enjoy the way you write too, this was fun to read although I did find myself wincing at the headaches, that really can't be good to deal with at all, but I admire the fact that you very stoically know how to deal and just keep going - we all have to do that at times through pain and illness and sometimes idiotic choices like mine the other day hahaha. Luckily I actually survived that although I have now self dubbed as "Stupagirl" from the moronic decision.
I would be keen on one of those latte's one day, sounds decent!
Well, I wouldn't want to show all my cards now would I? That would spoil half the fun. I'll just wing it TankGyrl style for sure
