Hello everyone, welcome.
I hope you are well today, have a really extraordinary day and stay enthusiastic.

Looking for a coffee shop which is said to be one of the favorite places for tourists while in Ho Chi Minh City. We headed to 'Little Hanoi', of course this is not the real city of Hanoi, but this time I went to a coffee shop or café with a name like that. Let say, the name might adopt vibes from the city of Hanoi.

You know, there is something that makes me very curious about this favorite café of many people. they have a coffee that is very different from other coffee menus from various countries. Egg kopi, which means eggs and coffee, both make a drink that sounds very strange but it really is on the menu like that.

If in West Sumatra it is famous for 'teh talua' tea with eggs, in Vietnam it is also available. The difference between using tea and coffee is that the two are clearly very different. However, the similarity is that it uses eggs as the main ingredient. In Indonesia, tea with eggs is used as an energy boost, because there is sugar that is shaken together with all the ingredients, so that it doesn't get fishy from raw eggs that are shaken at high speed, given a squeeze of lime.

Well, this egg coffee also makes me curious, is it the same as the 'talua tea' that we have. In terms of serving, it clearly looks very different, the size is much smaller and served in quite small glasses. Like drinking hot chocolate.

On top there is a brown color which turns out to be from a fire torch to make it have a more beautiful color, or maybe to remove the aroma from the egg. The color is yellow, like beaten eggs and it is really very appetizing.

Let's talk a little about the taste. There is definitely a slight aroma from the egg, but believe me it's not as fishy as you think. They use sugar as an emulsifier so that the coffee and eggs combine and last a long time to form a foam. Almost 60% of this egg coffee is similar to the famous Japanese style sponge cake. Very soft when sipped.

Little by little the egg coffee tastes sweet, but the sweetness is not too dominant. It tends to make my tongue very comfortable because the texture is very soft. Kutau is a type of coffee that is enjoyed slowly, sip by sip, which warms and increases energy. I think this is the right caffeine intake to increase your power, especially with the addition of sugar which is a simple carb that is absorbed very quickly by the body.

Finally I enjoyed the famous egg coffee, now it's time to enjoy other foods from this restaurant. Really, the addition of a tuna sandwich filled with various vegetables such as tomatoes and lettuce makes me even more full. Use bread that is high in fiber, because it is made from wheat and there are grains on the bread.

A very unique menu amidst the onslaught of fast food. But this cafe is different, which actually offers a variety of quite healthy foods, because it focuses on fiber and vegetables. Indeed, Vietnam always adds vegetables to each of their typical dishes.

I was also given refreshing drinks such as water with ice cubes for free. In fact, the prices are also cheap and they provide excellent service for free.

You have to try egg coffee right away!

I wonder how the egg doesn't get cooked by the hot coffee? I would think that the texture would be like curdled milk or scrambled eggs but that doesn't sound like it's the case. They must temper the eggs somehow. I'm intriguiged by this

it looks like they make hot espresso with egg yolks made into foam, then put sugar and shoot fire on top. I think it's like that, because it's not like scrambled eggs when you drink it.

Sounds interesting. I may look for a recipe to try and make it at home

I wonder how it tasted? But if you said 60% like japanese sponge cake it must be tasty. And anyway unfortunately i couldn't have coffee..

it tastes like coffee but has the taste of egg yolk, no smell but the taste is very different from normal coffee.

Oh i see, that's unique
