Flowerphotography - Finding the beauty of Nature

in PhotoFeed3 years ago

In Spring and Summer, I like to take pictures of beautiful and colorful flowers that start to blossom in this time. After a long and drab winter, spring always brings back so many beautiful colors and a new generation of life. A new generation of flowers, insects, birds and so much more. And I am always excited to witness this and take some pictures along my "trip" through the spring.

Flowers and Landscape pictures are my second favorite topic in photography. Even though flowers can be very beautiful, I think bird photography is a little more interesting since I am photographing a living thing that can also flee from you, and it is always a luck to take some great pictures of birds. When taking pictures of flowers I usually have a lot more time and I can prepare the shots for several minutes if I like to.

But still you need to know where to go if you want to take pictures of special flowers because they also don't grow everywhere and some are also very rare. For example these Lady slippers orchids that I found in Berchtesgarden two years ago.

Of course I can go in the City into a park and find a lot of cultivated flowers that also have some nice colors and often are very beautiful. But finding some orchids and other flowers in the open nature is much more interesting for me. Unfortunately a lot of people still pick beautiful flowers eventhough they are very seldom or protected. I always cry inside when I see something like that. And If you talk to the people that do this, they often don't understand that picking them is probably not the best.
