Watching Hamsters in the wild

in PhotoFeed3 years ago

I already showed you a lot of pictures of birds and also ground squirrels I did here in Austria. Now I want to also show you some pictures of hamsters that a friend showed me in Vienna. Aside of my love to birds and the ground squirrels, I really love the behavior and the cuteness of these little fellows. Another thing I really like about them that it is easy to gain their trust and you can get really close to them with your camera. The Video on the bottom of this article proofs it. There you can see a friend of mine taking pictures of the hamster with an wide Angle Lens!

Since the Hamsters usually have their peak in activity during the morning and the evening and sleep a lot of the time during the day it is difficult to get some pictures of them during the daytime. You have to use the evening hours just before the sun is setting to get the peak in their activity and therefore get some nice pictures of them. During the day it might be very seldom that they come out of their holes.

No, you are not alone. A lot of them look like a buttler wearing a suit.
