Yep, Zac, it's the same, but depending on the spare parts of the car I would buy original ones for safety reasons, like parts for the brakes or such which could potentially cause an accident if they break.

Oh yes, I agree as the critical has to be originals. I bought a non-genuine water pump for my BMW long ago. It was a quarter of the price and I am sure that it is still working in that car today wherever it is 😘

Hahaha, I have only the one genuine Canon battery that was supplied when I bought the camera. We tried to buy two spare Canon batteries, but the price were half of my salary 🤣

Nope, I can go through all 3 batteries on some days Hannes.
The two generic batteries cannot hold a full charge any more and at about 100 photos they peg out.
The Canon original lasts for much longer.

I haven't had a look on the amount of photos, and I don't look which battery I take, but I am pretty sure that 200 or more photos haven't been a problem with both kinds.

No, I believe you that it was indeed an octopus you saw. Glad that it was not one of those giant octopuses, as they say that they can grow very big in the cold areas to protect them from the cold.
I saw a photo once where an octopus had one of his arms wrapped around an old ship with sails.
Now if such a thing would've grabbed you, we would not be talking today 🤣🤣🤣

Yeah, when the generics were new they could also take a good load of photos, but I think that they have been recharged so many times over the years, that they have now decided to slowly retire 🤣
