Greetings, Fellow Aging Bloggers And Other Enthusiasts Of Connecting To Faraway Spaces!
An early wake up by a short-warning design turns out to lead to amazing sights...
Visual artists make sacrifices, too. I haven't been visually artisting for quite a while but I accompanied my dear partner in life to such an event. Not very far from home. Still, some driving needed to be done, and not the easy type. I guess, it would have been two full days of hiking were we on foot.
To the edge of the mountain, over the sea...
There were nice people, a solo concert by a cult blues performer I might have written about ages ago... And he was still playing his guitar and passing it around to friends around the table... hours after midnight.
But we youngest there were about to act it old and go to bed at 2 AM, before the elderly singers and guitar players...
Because the children had the plan to go to a lighthouse before sunrise. And that was less than three hours away.
Another instance of three hours away...
A mountain,
a lighthouse,
a view of the sunrise above the sea...
All we needed was nice weather to make the sight extraordinary and this time chance provided. It was so beautiful, I am still able to get to crying because of the memory of it. And the fact that I had only my backpack... and later... a bench to use instead of a tripod. And he prime 24 mm lens instead of a wider angled one...
Camera Settings:
Aperture F 11;
Shutter Speed 1/4 of a second;
Light Sensitivity ISO 100;
Focal Length 24 mm
Three hours of sleep are enough when you connect your soul to the charger of all chargers. But I shall quit typing and leave a chronological series of shots telling the rest of the story of that morning.
That's cape Emine, the point where the Balkan Mountains touch the Black Sea.
Peace and Focus!
Yours,
Manol
