With the rate at which the population of people in the world keeps on increasing, I am afraid there will be a time when the earth would simply become too big for us all. That might really be possible. This reminds me of one futuristic movie I watched one time titled Total recall starring Colin Farell. In that movie, one of the things that stood out for me was just how populated it was. The fictional world was so populated that there was no space on the ground anymore, not even for roads. Everything was taken to the skies. You would see buildings and standard roads built in the sky for cars that did not require tires to move. It was really creative, and I enjoyed the movie a lot. But, coming back to reality, we seem to be heading to that overpopulation mark but we do not seem to be ready for that technology such a time would require. What am I even saying? Technology is not the problem, when the time is right, it will come up. Even as it is now, there are significant issues overpopulation brings up and they are usually downplayed. A government might be equipped to take care of only a certain number of people, from infrastructure to job opportunities and the like. But then, when there is a surge in population, the balance gets skewered and the odds of everything going around for everyone keep increasing. A population can increase in different ways, although the major one is reproduction. And this is the one major way the population of a nation increases. And this is only counting the registered people, who could tell about the unregistered and the people the government did not even know exist? But then, when all these people grow up, they will need to make a living. Since the jobs can no longer go round for everyone, there will be those that will surely be jobless and will have to resort to manual labor. Many of them will even choose to go fully into a life of crime, some will become armed robbers and others will become kidnappers. The level of insecurity will rise as well, and as that is rising, so will the daily cost of living. And through all these, many people will still be sexually active, getting married and making even more babies. Some will even go as far as having eight to twelve children. And if you check it out, it is mostly poor people that have children in such large numbers. Children they have no way to cater to, they bring them into the world while hoping that God will provide. And the cycle might continue. Only a few will be able to break out of it. These days, however, people are getting wiser when it comes to having children. It was before that the entire community raised children, now it is every parent to your kid. It is only the number your bank account can allow that you will have. And not just your bank account, but also the number you can accept mentally. When we have only a few children, we would be able to focus our efforts on taking good care of them. We would have a number that no matter how bad things get, we would still be able to take care of them perfectly. We would send them to schools and make sure they become upright citizens in the community. When the majority of the population is educated, growth will be at a faster rate as compared to when the majority of the population is illiterate. So, my dear friends, what am I saying in earnest? We should always remember that the world does not get bigger, instead, it will keep on getting smaller. And as more and more people are born, we would need more and more space. That is why when we are planning family, we should just keep it simple and basic. Not only would that have a lighter effect on our finances, in the long run, but you would also be doing the earth a favor. In the coming years, I don’t really know what the world will be like, but I hope we all will be there to see it. Who knows, maybe we would be living in floating houses by then. Those kind of people doesn't have any family plan. Even they don't think too much about the furure of their child thinking that god will take care of them which is illogical.
The movie is quite interesting, and action packed for sure. If you are a fan of futuristic movies you will enjoy it.
I just hope people will take things like family planning more serious. Because it is very important.
