Life is mysterious and unpredictable. Sometimes we are in a good mood and sometimes not, and it's the way our life goes on. Ups and downs are part of life, and we have no power to avoid them. So sometimes feeling bored is also quite normal. Even having a robotic mentality, I also feel bored, although it happens less with me compared to other people. I can consider it a blessing also.
The feelings of boredom are not good if they exist for a longer time. It may result in depression, and I know nobody wants to face such a situation. To overcome boredom, we have some tricks, and they can be different based on the person. And today I am going to share what I do to overcome boredom.
I think walking on a road alone is very effective in overcoming boredom, at least for me. The road must be quiet, and there will be no or fewer people. In village, it's very easy to find such a road, but in town, it's very difficult to find such a road in nearby places. So, it's not effective for me right at the moment as I live in a city now.
Sleeping is a thing I love most, although my current sleeping habit is not healthy. I am trying to maintain it. I feel sleeping is a thing that makes me forget all kinds of sorrows and boredom, and after waking up from sleep I feel fresh. I love to sleep more when I feel bored, and I told my family members not to disturb me in such a situation.
As an anime fan, keep watching anime on a continuous basis. I have tons of anime to watch, but I am still unable to watch those. During the time of boredom, my mood doesn't support doing other things, and it's the best time to start those animes. When I start an anime series, I keep watching it and I become restless unless I finish it. Finishing an anime series is not a task to be done in a single day, and after a few episodes, my mind becomes dedicated to anime, and there is no space for boredom.
Diverting the mind is the best way to overcome boredom, and solving the Rubik's cube is one of the best ways to do it. Solving it takes almost the full attention of the mind. Naturally, I love to solve Rubik's cube, but in recent years I haven't solved it on a regular basis. I noticed that when I feel bored, I solve it.
There is another thing that makes me feel good, and it's adventure. I love to explore new places. I wish to go on an adventure whenever I get the opportunity, and if I can do it when I feel bored, it can be the best way to overcome boredom. Going on an adventure is the best, but maximum time is not possible as it requires planning, and obviously, I need my friends to accompany me on an adventure.

Yes, it's a normal thing to feel bored but when it's becoming too much or taking longer time to deal with it, it turned to depression for someone. I also have similar mechanisms as yours too, unlike you, I watch horror or Indian movies because they keep me glued completely and making me forget I was bored some minutes before.
As individuals, we all have what works for us when it comes to combating boredom in our lives.
