What do you think about tipping? It's interesting when someone does such a good job or service that we feel comfortable tipping a little more than what actually went into our bill, right? But did you know that in some places they They arrive with the bill already charging an extra 10% tip? That doesn't even seem like a bad thing, does it? But what about when this tip is optional by law but bars and restaurants simply add this amount without saying anything? I don't agree with that. .
As I always say, defending the freedom that we all have to have and also because I love things to be organic and true, I don't think it's a good idea to make something that should be optional mandatory. We experience this a lot here at Hive, for example. Some frontends require a percentage of beneficiaries, although I think all of this should be optional, that is, we should only include it if we really want to. I think this demonstrates our genuine intention to help. Well, here in Brazil it is not mandatory. but some establishments actually do this.
Tipping is a spontaneous act of the consumer in Brazil, and is not mandatory. Law No. 13,419, also known as the Tipping Law, defines a tip as a way for customers to thank them for the service provided.
If it is a spontaneous act, there should not be an additional 10% on the receipt at the time of payment (which is usually the amount charged). I think we should be given full control over whether we want to or not. Some people say that this is just my own fault, that I could just turn it down. Okay, that could be the case, but when the house is full and there are that many people in line looking at you, you feel pressured, don't you? Just to accept it for get out of there right away, especially with a wife and children who were tired and desperate to go home.

Yes, many times the coupon already arrives with the 10% discount and no one asks anything and I just, tense due to the situation and the moment, say that everything is fine well, you can charge. Basically, I would just like to say that the bill should be remade without the 10%, because I thought that in that service, nothing special happened that would make me feel like paying more for the service, so I think that tipping should always be optional, in anywhere, with any person or service provided. Just imagine, actually getting a tip because you did something exceptional, as a way of showing that it was something extra, that you dedicated yourself, being rewarded extra for it.
So, that's it, I I get upset when someone charges me extra for a tip, even though I wasn't even asked if I wanted to do it or not. I don't think we can charge that, it's like charging for help that should be done from the heart. If I really liked how a waiter or a person treated me and did their best to serve me, I will naturally feel entitled to tip him or the establishment. That's why I advocate optional tipping for everything! The free choice to want to pay a little more for the great service or not it should be ours.

Bzzz, I'm all about keeping it real and organic, just like a sweet nectar flow! Tipping should be a choice, not a mandatory add-on. What do you think, Hive friends? #hivebr
You are very correct, I don't think those 10% charges should be added to the bill of a customer as tipping, it is something that should be done willingly without being forced.
Exactly, I always get upset or annoyed with the place and end up leaving the 10% on the bill, but I think it's very bad that they put it there forcibly, without at least warning me or asking if I would like to give this extra to pass on to the employees.
That's actually very wrong, tips shouldn't be charged but rather something you get to do willingly
Putting it in the charge makes it kinda compulsory which it should not
Unfortunately bars and restaurants do this, not all of them, but it's a practice where they throw this additional amount on at the end of the bill, so it's not nice to do this.
Not nice at all
Ai que o bicho pega...fico puto me sinto enganado
I feel the same way, it's really bad... there's just an extra charge at the checkout counter and you don't want to have to fight to get it out because you're embarrassed or something.
It can be very upsetting when someone charges extra for tips. I mean, what if I don’t want to tip you? I am of the school of thought that tipping should be optional, not mandatory.
We usually accept the amount at the checkout with 10% for this, for fear of saying no there and being put in an uncomfortable situation, which is why I think it's bad, these charges that leave you squeezed without a favorable way out.

It should be something completely voluntary and spontaneous.
Sometimes people even feel pressured to give a tip when this gesture is actually something like an act of satisfaction for the service provided.
I totally agree with you!
