ARE THEY ALWAYS RIGHT?

So many persons have always taken the saying "customers are always right" in a wrong way, there are many customers to one business or the other who have wrongfully taken the saying in their own best interest regardless of what the business owner or sales representative might lose out on.

I have had many instance where it's always the fault of the customer, but he would still claim he is right ,even when others knew he was wrong thankfully it was the owner he had a confrontation with and not the sales rep.

So this man came into the restaurant where I and hubby where sitting waiting for a friend to come hang out with us, the man came in his lady friend, who i assumed to be his girlfriend , she wore a very skimpy skirt that almost showed her butt, well that's not even the worst part, the restaurant wasn't one that a waitress or waiter would come attend to you, but was one you have to go to the counter to order for what you want and wait for it to be given to you, then you take to your seat, so this man and lady came in and sat down, they went ahead to started talking and flirting with each other in a public restaurant, (like i seriously don't know who does that) , after a while , i think the lady asked for something to drink, and. the man still sitting raised his head up from the ladies bossom and called out to one of the floor guys who's job was to clear up after the customers, he went over to the man asked him if he had any thing to say, but when the man asked him to get the order for their drinks , the floor guy politely told him, it wasn't his. job to do so, but he would help him get his order, after he brought them their drink, he went back to his position, after about another minute, the man signaled to the floor guy again , but this time the guy didn't leave. his position, he then did like he didn't hear the man call him, I think this was what made the man stand up and started creating a scene he went and help the floor guy by the neck and was reigning abuses to him, he almost choked the poor guy to death, if not the intervention from people in the restaurant, it was quiet a sight.

Still when people were trying to calm him down, he still want to be calmed, the owner of the place had to come out and told him straight to his face that, he wasn't being a responsible person, firstly he came to a public restaurant where children were and was doing indecent things, and also he could have gone ahead to get his order himself , but he called his staff from his work position to get his drink which was against their rules.
The man didn't admit to his mistakes, he only said since. he his a customer , he is right in his own sense, and no one. could tell him otherwise, it was after the man angrily left with his lady friend without paying for their drinks , that was when the story of how the owner called the floor guy to warn him not to serve customers, that it wasn't was he was employed for came out.

In this instance the customer misused his right as a customer and also took advantage of the innocent worker, and I am sure that the drinks which the. man didn't pay for would be reduced from the guys salary, so what I feel is everyone one should use common sense when dealing in business and if you are a buyer, try to follow business rules.

What a terrible thing to witness. That man should be ashamed of his behaviour. Sadly there are people in this world who will trample all over others to get what they want... and clearly he was not about to be shown up in front of his lady friend either! There are two issues here which really grate: firstly the lack of self-control and kindness of heart, and secondly the inability to recognise that one's own behaviour was poor, to begin with, and to atone for that. I am pleased in this instance that the restaurant manager had the good sense to admonish the customer in a fair and direct manner, but it is sad that he also admonished the employee in public... I guess he has some more learning to do himself. That poor employee... just trying to balance everyone's needs... and rightly said... the customer is NOT always right and it is high time that businesses started standing up for their employees more. I do see a lot of customer-facing businesses displaying signs that read that any abuse directed towards any of their staff will not be tolerated... and I commend this approach. People are becoming less tolerant of abusive personalities. !PIZZA

It's was really a sight that day,
It's true, employers should also pit the interest of their staff too to heart, well in this our country, not every employer cares, though they might have the mind of doing so, but they tend to take employees as lower being, just because they pay their salary.thats such for this country, most of the care for their money.

Thanks for stopping by. 🥰

It's sad that people are not valued more. We can only rectify that by holding people in value ourselves and starting with that as an example. !LUV

Well, I feel not all times customers are right though. He would have conducted himself not to flirt on the lady in a public place, I think probably he wants to impress the girl and she wasn't smart enought to tell him to control himself. Thanks for sharing

I felt so too, maybe he was trying to prove he has a say anywhere he goes🤷‍♀️

People tend to misuse the opportunity given the circumstances but have come to realize that most time customers will always be customers, especially the problematic ones. The guy was very wrong, rude, and very bad manner, and even the girl too. I feel sorry for the floor guy, I liked how the owner of the restaurant reacted to the whole situation.
