Antidotes to addictive drug

Keeping aside the debate of merits and demerits of mobile phone, it is irrefutable fact that mobile phone is an integral part of our life these days. We have become addicted to it. From running the business to gathering education stuff and getting rid of boredom, we always look towards mobile.

The gadget which was invented to just communicate messages, has surrounded all the segments of life.
Life without mobile seems colorless. Many are not even doing anything more creative than scrolling on it. Scrolling started to kill leisure time and turned into using time for daily essential routine as well. For I woke up this morning and checked a message on Instagram and I didn't know that within an hour I had done all except check that message😂.My words may look exaggerated but not to those who have got addicted to this and I am one of them.

Talking about me, I am too obsessed with this gadget. I even can't study without keeping it along with the book. I have a weird kind of psyche, it feels like a burden to me to have unchecked notifications. Unlike many people, I can’t ignore notifications. Whenever the phone beeps, I immediately rush towards it. And this addiction of me caused me straining of eyes, fatigue and weakening of eyesight.

I was very exhausted from the last few weeks and a major factor, I found that contributed a lot was my phone. My screen time was much more than normal. I checked my last week average screen time was 11 hours and it was quite worrying. I shared stats with my friends and they were all giving me tough times in screen time.
And at that time i was thinking that only power off may be antidote to this morphine.😂

You can see from the attached file that though it is 32 % less than the previous week yet average screen time is 8 hours. And I felt my mental condition too much worse.
But now I am controlling it and I am just trying to bring it to below 6 hours.

What are the things that can make me stay away from my phone???????

  1. First of all, I will name say Friends. I literally forget about my phone whenever I am with my company. We literally blather rubbish mostly but I enjoy it. We do debates too from religions to politics to education and sports. Fighting just like kids even being in the final year. So within all this, I forget my life outside the room and mobile as well. Those guys are literally my SSRIs(antidepressants)

  2. Secondly, out of curriculum books, when I am reading about history and personal growth. I just put my phone far from me. These books centralize my attention toward them.

  3. When I am with my family, I avoid using cell phones. According to them and me as well as, it is disrespectful and unethical. I just even try to avoid attending calls that time.So family time helps me too to avoid this evil😄.

  4. Few other things that divert my attention from mobile include my hobbies like sports, cooking and counting stars at night😂.

Conclusion: Mobile phones are nowadays causing really great damage to us. It is just like a silent killer. We can't deny the fact that radiations from mobiles damage our mind and the stuff we go through affects our mental health. Thanks to hivelearners for selecting this topic as it is usually a topic no one pays heed but this issue is alarming too. We must try to reduce our screen time as much as we can because it depresses mind ,produces dark circles,make us lethargic and dizzy and blurs our vision.

Yess you are so much addicted to mobile phone as you are my friend I know your habit of excessive use of mobile phone you always open it on every notification sound. Try to lessen the use by indulging yourself in something else.

Excess use of mobile phone is very alarming. As far as I know, you are too much addicted to phone but most of the time you use this device just for your personal growth, for education purpose and i don’t think you are misusing it. Despite of its uses it has some consequences u mentioned in the post like your health. Heath should be your priority.
Thanx for sharing your views about it and telling your addiction. The antidotes are very interesting but that will help you alot to be disattach from device

In as much as phone screen light have affected my eyes so bad, i can't just seem to get my eyes of it cause currently, 90% of every information we need is in our phones. I call it my mini office.
