RE: How to Import Hive Blogs on Medium?

Hi,

Your work in compiling this is commendable, but I would want to highlight certain significant issues about this initiative.

A Web3 decentralised ecosystem, Hive's main philosophy is to empower users by moving away from centralised sites like Medium. This project, which demonstrates how to bring Hive posts to Medium, seems to go against that goal.
Hive here offers no new tool, onboarding process, or genuine value-added service; rather, it's just a guide on how to repost current material. Although you might have permission from the original author, this still seems more like self-promotion than real Hive marketing.
The Hive Marketing community is meant to spread decentralised solutions, onboard new users, and promote Hive's tools. Regrettably, this article contradictes those objectives.

Furthermore, the Medium import procedure is already accessible in their Help area, therefore calling this a "project" on Hive could be deceptive.

I wish you would see this criticism constructively and direct your next efforts towards helping Hive to reflect its genuine values: decentralisation, originality, and community benefit.

Thanks.

Note
And a big problem will arise if such posts start to increase, then those who check for plagiarism or copyright in Hive will have a lot of difficulty checking them and it will take more time.
Don't take any of this to heart. This is what I said based on my research and what I knew. I may be wrong, but I don't think so.

Sort:

This project is similar to reddit marketing, binance square marketing, twitter/X, posh, hive-echo and more in nature. Hive is Marketing itself on web2 for a long time and recently more and more such initiatives r needed as we need more users.

A question for you! How do you plan to bring medium users on hive to let them know our pros of web3? You gotta Knock on doors to invite them here.

Don't hold grudges because I wrote you can't make hive.list similar theme market you were trying to make. Why I said that? You still have alot of learn related to pulling and storing data in HAF-DB.

I have no grudge against you. I have learned a lot from you on Discord. And no one holds a grudge against their teacher.
I wrote my reply roughly keeping the rules in mind.
If I have used any words in writing or speaking that have made you feel bad, I apologize, But you can see the rules again, they haven't been updated.

rather, it's just a guide on how to repost current material

Read carefully other comment replies of mine.

Although you might have permission from the original author

Please read carefully, no one is taking permission from other authors.

Furthermore, the Medium import procedure is already accessible in their Help area, therefore calling this a "project" on Hive could be deceptive.

Please don't use ai for arguments. It's giving you wrong advices. That's not what this is about.
