Wednesday - I'm Alive

Hello Alive Tribe,
I'm sorry (again) for the long silence. This summer has been like an obstacle course in "LIFE". Everyone knows that life happens when we are making other plans. I hope this post finds you well. We keep moving forward and bathing the new challenges with prayer.

Last month we had a medical scare. My husband experienced a severe anaphylactic response to a ground bee sting he received while tinkering with the old Ford tractor. The first he'd experienced. I moved fast and got him to the hospital. After a steroid injection and epinephrine, he was restored to mostly normal, but we needed to keep him in observation until 11:00 PM that Sunday night. I was quite tired when I got home and the next morning began my training in the new position at work.

He's had a lot of work done on this tractor, including rebuilding the motor. We thought that the tractor would be done before August, but it needs more.

The weather took a quick dip to fall. Temperatures and even the geese knew about this a couple of weeks ago and started forming info flying south for the winter. This is the earliest that we've had a Fall dip in so quickly. We woke up today to forty-three degrees Fahrenheit temperatures.

I dug out my handy USB mittens That I purchased from TEMU last year for under $5.
I'm in shock.

The weather triggered in migraine that seems to be increasing in intensity. I'm in training doing what is called shadowing a case builder, so at least I don't have to take calls or perform any duties other than trying to pay attention. I must admit that's challenging. I'm on lunch for another seven or eight minutes. I don't have any appetite at the moment. I'm hoping the migraine will calm down after work because my husband, Jeff, is planning on making us a salad after work.

Meanwhile, I am bracing up the pup that my son purchased. Her name is Daisy.

Every day is a challenge with her. Daisy is still under a year old It has not had her first heat yet. Once she does have her first heat, I will schedule her to be neutered.

How is your summer going?

Thank you so much!!

I know what you mean about what Jeff went through being scary, I think his reaction was worse than my husband's. A few years ago my husband was stung by a wasp, not long after that he said his throat felt itchy and then it started swelling, and was hard to breathe. I called our daughter who is a nurse and she said to get some Benadryl in him, I gave him the bottle and told him to read how much to take, of course being a man he was not going to read it and just drank quite a bit. He said he felt like he was drunk but his breathing got better. He now carries Benadryl pills with him all of the time and has had several times when he has had to use them.

Thank you for reading and commenting! He took two benadryl and went into the shower. Once he dressed he said if this doesn't improve in 15 minutea. I'll have you drive me to ER. I ran to change and before 5 minutes passes he said please drive me. His eyes were swollen almost shut and tongue swelling. He was burning up.
I flew to the ER. He was red s a beet. He now carries an EPI pen.

Hey rose, hope you are doing well!

Hello,my friend! It's good to see you! I'm doing ok. Hopefully I'm not sick with covid, but we'll see. Some family who were visiting and helping us clear out the basement Saturday reported back that they tested positive Sunday. I developed a sore throat Sunday and I am not feeling so great, but I'm staying hopeful and just going to lay low a bit until this passes. Have a wonderful day!

My summer has been weirdly busy too! As if time is moving faster. Welcome back!

That's a good way of putting it. We didn't even really go very many places this summer. All I can say as blink and summer was gone! We're still trying to make it to the county fair before it closes up for the season. Thank you for stopping by. And I hope everything is well your way!
