My walks, while some are scheduled, most I let surprise me, are the little big things in life.
This walk was no exception, in the ever moving, ever changing city.
Many times before I leave home I get the idea to go to this or that place, but other times I just walk and try not to repeat the route.
If I want to see art, history, culture and colourful beauty, the historic centre is the place to be. Many times it seems to me like a place that is changing all the time, it is very big and its streets seem infinite and diverse.
Passing through one of them I came across this picturesque restaurant. I took a picture and one of the waiters saw me. I thought he would say something... bad, but he turned away from the entrance and told me to take pictures of the whole façade and its decorations. Sometimes I meet people like that. The Malagueño is immensely cheerful and friendly.
I suppose he wanted me to promote the place, and I must say it is beautiful.
It even has mosaics painted as pictures which are a beauty. I thanked him for his kindness with a smile and went on my way.
The shops always have very colourful and eye-catching items and on my walk I found several of them. How about these multicoloured bulls? They look great. And the lizards are from another planet.
And here I think there is a zoo, zebras, owls, horses, elephants, rhinos and much more. I always like to see so much colour in this kind of thing.
Women dancing next to the bulls while they take a break to eat something on those decorative plates or trays. I know, I imagine them moving, in my mind I see it.
This lion has his back to me, but look at the cat below... he's a bit shy. More and more extraordinary and beautiful decorations.
These streets so full of shops led me to more art and a very beautiful exhibition. I passed by the door of El Ateneo and it was closed. I looked at the sign and it was five minutes to opening. I just walked around and went back to the site.
As I walked in I saw the three posters advertising three new exhibitions. And the one with flowers struck me as delicate and full of nature.
This place, as this plaque says, is dedicated to the fine arts and here José Nogales Y Sevilla studies and teaches.
Nature seems to me to be closely related to art and poetry as well. This exhibition belongs to the artist Nay Herman and is called ‘Poetics of Fragility’.
Although the room is always the same, on this occasion you could feel a soft energy and even the smell of flowers. Have you ever been able to smell flowers when there are none around? It has happened to me several times.
In one of the corners there were some works that I found very interesting, like little flowers and branches trapped in crystals. Something very delicate that I would love to have in my home as decoration.
There was a piece of writing about this work, which I will translate for you:
May Herman is a nature gardener of fragility. Sensitive and with the mastery of botanical taxidermy, she brings flowers back to life in a harmonious plastic and sensorial ecosystem. Corollas, gynoecium, filaments, arteries, finger haikus of the organism of flowers and their chromatism. An epidermal dance, subtly subject to the warp of the drawing, and in other pools of atmospheres, defined by the lyrical abstraction of their tones, pollinates their textures and transparencies with weightless pictorial delicacy that emanates a Zen silence. The pigments of an iridescent ether plunge into his landscapes, and from the stillness a petal, a heron, an emotion is born. The dance of the light of the breeze with the limbo of the leaves.
O' Keefe, Monet. May Herman. The essence of an instant, in which each colour has its stamens, its butterfly and its calm. ‘Guillermo Busutil
I think this text describes the work of this artist and his sensitivity towards nature, which we will see in this walk inside his works.
Every painting I saw inspired me with peace and harmony. Her colours were very soft and you could see the outline of the leaves and the flowers.
Over each one of them there seemed to be or to be painted like a mist.
If one looks at them from a distance even some of the works seem to be abstract, but with a lot of subtlety.
I noticed the predominance of pink and red, symbols of passion, strength and love. That love for the natural and the essence of things, those that are always around us.
I always pay attention to the colours of the paintings I see, in them you can see the artist's thoughts and emotions, as well as what he wanted to convey.
Soft green was also very present, health and hope. Pastel tones generate calm and serenity and I think that is what the artist wanted to convey.
At other times I seem to see, instead of a mist, a very soft fabric like a tulle covering the flowers or nature, like a mantle of softness.
In other cases the works seem unfinished although they have their own particular style.
And in one corner the classic museum seat or armchair, always in keeping with the moment and giving a special touch.
It has been a beautiful walk among decorations, good taste, art and flowers intermingled in subtlety, mystery and softness.
I love these walks, they allow me not only to admire the beauty of creativity but also give off a powerful, relaxing and renewing energy.
Thank you for joining me on this Wednesday walk, best wishes to all of you and see you soon.

You are very welcome @avdesing! it was well deserved. ☀️
Keep up the great work 💪
The multicolored plates are beautiful, and the waiter was kind enough to give you space to take all the pictures, but the branches trapped in the crystals are spectacular, a very colorful tour
the chair is splendid without a doubt.
The whole exhibition had a lot of delicacy and I liked that a lot. Thank you very much Monica!

I'm still around here, I'm on the subway and you are making my journey more pleasant. From the exhibition I loved the use of glass with details of nature. That instant created by the artist and that despite the appearance of fragility remains. I feel it as a poem without fear, showing itself in public despite its appearance of vulnerability.
Thank you very much for this walk. @avdesing.
These art exhibitions are great, the place is quiet, few people and you can enjoy it very well. This art where the natural is captured in glass... it fascinates me! Thank you!😃
The idea of the crystal and the final result are very good, let's see what the next surprise is 😃.
Well tomorrow is probably not a surprise, but I love nature.... hint🤣

I love art... you know! Thank you so much for all your family!
I bought a bull like the one in the shop during my trip to Spain. They must be popular because I saw them all over. I enjoyed this ethereal painting. Very beautiful.
I also loved that painting contrasting red and white. Thank you!🤗
