A nostalgic story from the banks of the Danube. I try to imagine my childhood there, I always wanted to live close to the water...
... but the peninsula was supposed to stay the shelter for our fantastic creatures and just a few people with blue fingers.
Beautiful and moving! It makes me want to cry, you got me thinking about childhood and its lost world.
Thank you!
I have always lived by water... First the river, and now the sea.
The river gives a different feeling, colder nights during the summer, which is great.
Glad that this made you think about your childhood 😃
Many greetings, @bluemoon 😇
Now I have to put you in the category of happy people, those who grew up and live near water, whatever form it takes. I think, I have found from knowing a lady here who grew up in a house by the ocean, that proximity to water bestows a beautiful character, that you are marked for life. I'm glad you had that chance! Thanks a lot, @mipiano!
I was born on the banks of the Danube in the worst winter of the last century, 1954, but I was taken away after only one month of life. Now I live in Bucharest, which is only 60 km from the Danube. I love the Danube and despite many attempts, I have not managed to move closer to it.
Your post touched me and reminded me of this unfulfilled wish of mine. Once again thank you!
