Hi there, I'm Leesa AKA ChocolateScorpi AKA ChocolateScorpion001 And because of a brilliant post written by @jeanlucsr for newbies like myself, I was able to discover this great community and I would like to submit some photos from my first Wednesday walk with you guys today.
So despite the fact that I'm still feeling very broken between the waist and my knees from a game of soccer the other day when my brain says 15 and body says ooohhh noooooo noo 49 actually remember...and then I ignore the brain and now the body is still paying dearly for it! Lol...
But I did it, all of my #QiGong, the #BodyGrooveDancing and then was somehow still able to walk!
And this is where I started on the #SouthBank of the #YarraRiver in #Melbourne chasing the sun.
SO I sat here fore a while and called my dad- He's 85 so by the time I got through to him, the sun had moved and me with it
And I came around tis corner and sat on the wal whilst I spoke to dad for about 30mins until I lost the sun again...
there was no traffic of people to disturb my views, as there's usually thousands of people
the photos! So the sun was out. *5 yr old dad'd still alive (but lives in another state And I'm here in
Melbourne in Lockdown still, so I won't get to see him for his 85th birthday next week unfortunately 😟
And then just kept wandering #Westbound along the #YarraRiver looking at every thing around me while
surrounding this #riverwalk on both sides and with a view like this, who would want humans littering
And the last photo I had the throw in becasue I have been trying to get a good angle on this one and they have only just barely finished building it and it's such unique and mindbending architecture- that what it reminds me of- the Transformers cars- but in this case -office building.
The classic sandy coloured, older building to the front and right is the immigration museum
In the meantime, stay safe and well. 😊Anyway, I hope that you enjoyed my #WednesdayWalk with me as Much as I did.
That you and I look forward to meeting next Wednesday for another #WednesdayWalk.
Welcome to #wednesdaywalk a great break to take time to be with your Dad, still healthy to go walking at his age, pity you will miss his birthday.
Every moment counts, each step shows us something different.
Thanks for sharing the city of Melbourne and have a wonderful day, Stay Safe!
Thank you Joan and I'm so sorry that I haven't responded to your comment earlier as it much have fallen through the cracks (the memory lapse/ the time lapse/ the missing sock universe), so no I'm not ignorant- Somehow I just missed it, I'm so sorry!
Unfortunately dad was not walking with me as he can barely walk and he's in another state and I'm not even allowed out of my home because of strict lockdown, but I go for a walk and call him, take photos while I talk to him, tell him what I'm taking the photos of, so then when I do see him I show him those photos.
I'm not sure if you saw my post on the 25th, but it was his 85th birthday so my blog that night was a tribute to him specifically and all families in general, so here's the link to that as there's a few photos on there of him and us and he was a handsome young many back in the 50's.
I can see why mum was smitten for 60yrs. https://peakd.com/hive-155221/@chocolatescorpi/day-55-and-here-i-am-alive-on-hive
I hope that you enjoy this post and once again I'm so sorry that I missed your comment earlier!
I hope that you are well and are safe.
I look forward to speaking with you again soon and I promise I'll be on the lookout for your reply so I don't miss it again!
With Dad unable to get out and about this is a wonderful way to share what you doing and seeing. Lock down has made elderly people feel very lost and extremely lonely, keep doing what you do to make virtual time together meaningful.
We managed to eventually get to a park walk last weekend, first time since end March, it was exhilarating, dogs were ecstatic going out again. Hope life comes back to a little of normal soon.
Life does get the better of us, no need to apologize, wishing you a wonderful day.
Yes, that right, the elderly are suffering without being able to have viosits form their families. I have printed out a bunch of short stories and poems that I wrote years ago and today I have organised them into nice new PINK folders to send to my flatmates 87ry old mum in Sydney and another freinds 93yr old mum here in Melbourne, so they can have a read of something fresh and give them a giggle hopefully.
The 4 stories that I wrote for the Featheredfriends contest are in there too!
I think life afetr lockdown will end up ebing a completely new normal and lets hope that it become better than it was before lockdown.
So glad that you got to get out and enjoy a walk.
I am too tomorrow, so I can go to the post office to send the folders away.
Anyway, take care and speak soon.
😀
Beautiful photos Leesa!!
Thank you JLVC!
If You have any idea just how many I've got, tens of thousands (I love living in a digital world- it's Sooo much cheaper than the analogue version!) But those ones are definitely fresh out of the oven on Wednesday! 😀
I feel you. I have over 10.000 photos of different cities in Europe when I was studying there over 10 years ago. Haven't sorted any of them out 😩.
Yeppp..🤡
WOW.... those are magnificent photos of your cityscape!!! Between the beautiful blue skies above and the blue waters (reflecting the blue skies) below, and the glass building structures reflecting everything above and below.... what an epic blue landscape! I love it!
I hope you will feel better from your soccer! But I am guessing that you had a lot of fun and enjoy the game?!
Have a fantastic day, and take care 🥰🌺🤙
!tipCongrats on your first Wednesday Walk post @chocolatescorpi!
Wow thank you so much, I really appreciate the support and I'm so glad that you enjoyed the walk with me- even if it was a few hours later lol...😄
Yes, Melbourne is such a photogenic City, especially without all of the people littering my photos lol..
I have another destination planned for next Wednesday, although I can't go to far, as we are on strict lockdown and its a huge fine if I get caught outside my postcode- which really is only a few blocks away...Lucky I live in such an awesome spot!
So, shall we make a date for a walk next Wednesday then?! Lol...😀
Oh and yes, soccer was so much fun. My mind still thinks I'm a kid (at 49..) lol..ouch!

Very nice walk! I like this shining sun and rainbows and reflections. Welcome to #wednesdaywalk!
Wow thank you so much.
Yes a rare opportunity to get some sun, although very brief.
And it's also such a rare opportunity to have Melbourne all to myself without hordes of people everywhere...
I look forward to seeing you next Wednesday , if not before.
In the mean time, take care and stay safe. 😊
