RE: Surviving the Scorch: Navigating Dhaka's Sweltering Heatwave!

Yeah that's the problem with living in big cities, when it's hot, it really hot, but considering there is such a massive population there, its good that the local governments have cut down all the beautiful trees you have in that park to make way for more residential buildings like they normally do...

And it's hard to know what to do when you're in a hot situation like that- stay hot and bored at home or go out, hoping that it will be better...and the problem is, you don't know until you make the effort...

And don't worry about your photos, you can see just how hot it was. What was the temperature do you know?

Sort:

It's a tough dilemma indeed. Balancing between staying indoors and braving the heat is challenging. Sadly, urban development often sacrifices green spaces. The temperature was around 40 degrees Celsius.

Yes, 40, that's what we used to get here in Melbourne in summer, but the last few years it's only gone up to about 38 at the highest I think.

But we are way down south of Australia so up north in QLD would get up to 40 easy, much much more humid up there though, but you're right, in that situation it's a tough decision.

Bangladesh's weather can indeed be intense. With temperatures often soaring above 40°C in summer, it's a tough call on how to beat the heat.
This is in 29 years we reached so high temperature!
Take care.

Wow I knew it would get hot over there- and I also imagined very humid too, but I didn't realise 40's +...
