What a great story. Are they still that close? That's how it should be. I know quite a few people with siblings but not many would cold shoulder their own mother for the other.
The scenery here is pretty one of a kind. Where I'm from we don't get these 4 season things so what's just another day to locals is unlike anything I've seen.

They didn't cold shoulder me they cold shouldered the officer. I don't remember what finally convinced him they were mine. Maybe I whipped out my breast and nursed the younger one. But no, they are not nearly as close as they were back then.
