Walking around always help in finding the right angle to take a picture.
Being in an elevated spot also helps, giving you a nice view of the area.
But walking around a medieval castle on the top of a hill, gives you an unmatched advantage, especially if below the castle you can see a mesmerising sea and a scenic little town!
And that's exactly what happened to me the other day!
I have told you about that walk in my last post but there are many more and very different pictures to share, so even if you have read the previous one, keep scrolling, there are plenty more to see :)
October turned out to be the best month for swimming and enjoying the beach, much better than September (sorry @bil.prag ) and as I was watching all those people swimming I was wondering if it was a good decision to go for a walk instead of a swim.
But I swim every day and I come up here so rarely!
All the pictures above this point, are taken with a Canon EF 80-200mm f/2.8 L Zoom Lens, a 30 years old lens that I just love. Made of metal and excellent optics, it gives a firm and strong feel, in contradiction to the new ones that are full of plastic and feel kind of faux!
Too bad I am not using it, as often as I would like but from up there I really enjoyed it :)
And since it is the first day of November, my best wishes for the new month.
In a world that can be amazingly beautiful or awfully terrible, may we all use our time in the best possible way!
This is also my contribution to the #wednesdaywalk challenge, hosted by @tattoodjay :)

Love that picture of the guy floating spread-eagle in that clear water. Nothing more relaxing than that pose. After that relaxing thought, the next one I had was of a similar picture photoshopped somewhere on the internet of a similar situation, but there is a sea monster underneath him.
Funny seeing those prickly pear cactuses all over. It always seems to me that plants should belong to only one continent, but they don't.
Oh no, you could have ruined my relaxing swims if I haven't had a similar thought myself. Only mine was with old ladies swimming wearing hats and the monster was taking them leaving floating hats behind :)
Prickly pears are amazing! I wouldn't be surprised even if I see them on another planet!
I don't know, but I'm thinking they are going to go for the middle-aged folks - you know, not too small, but still tender? Wow, I'm taking this sea monster thing too far. Gross. ;)
I love prickly pears too. I am cultivating a bunch of the thornless ones in the part of my garden that the irrigation doesn't reach. Such cool plants. Oh, wouldn't that be lovely if they grew on Mars?
Haha gross indeed! But that's the beauty of horror movies, isn't it?
Mars with prickly pears, that sounds cool :)
Wow - these pics are fantastic. I just love the blue colour of the sea - its quite mesmerising !

well the weather here was not great in October, and few days ago in Germany i think it was even around 0 :D
I guess that with the weather, it is what it is, we can't change it!
but we can complain about it :D
Definitely 😄
These are stunning photos, and such a magnificent place to be. Your photos are so good that I feel like travelling. These times, in my country in Belgium, the weather is terrible. If we look at the meteo, it rains every day 😭
So thank you for your photos, for having made my spirit in dry 🤣
Thank you very much! It is a wonderful place indeed :)
I guess raining every day can be depressing but the truth is that nature here, is desperate for some of your rain.
So sad we can't do an exchange of rain water! 😌
These photos are amazing!!
Thanks, I am glad you like them!
