Oh yeah...I've wanted to get a pair of leather Scarpas for some time, so I finally ordered them this weekend. I had to cut through the red tape at home though and through it on the secret CC (don't tell Liza, lol).
I can't wait to get away from this job for a week. I figured now was the time to get some comfy new Scarpas broken in before all the hiking up there. Get that trip done mate! I'm pretty jealous really as I've got nothing in the works currently. I was going to go to Cairns, Queensland but it's not looking likely now. I'm a bit bummed about it.

I lived there for a while. We call in FNQ, Far North Queensland. The Great Barrier Reef is off the coast and it's tropical. A legit place. Loads of shit that wants to kill you though, crocs, irukandji, snakes, wild boars, sharks, sea snakes and all...Still, a great spot.
ha!...my biggest worry is ticks, and the occasional Minnesota Viking fan (OMG, don't get me started), that wants to tell me his/her life story. That experience might be worse than a crocodile, possibly...if I have to listen to another Minnesota football team vs Aaron Rodgers at a Burger King...so help me god...
