This post is for the #wednesdaywalk challenge and the #makemesmile challenge collaboration. This collaboration initially took place once a month, but due to its popularity, @tattoodjay (of the #wednesdaywalk) and @elizacheng (of #makemesmile) decided to make it a weekly thing.
If you want to know more about the rules, visit this week's post by @tattoodjay where you will find all the rules at the bottom of his post after you've enjoyed his beautiful photos from his walk.
About two weeks ago, I shared some Breath-taking Views on a Cloudy Day from Monteseel.
The images I want to share today were taken on the same day and from the same area. Yet, in the previous post, I focused more on the views and open spaces.
Although you will see those spaces and some views in today's post as well, I want to focus more on the detail that was closer to me.
Like in the first photo, I was more focused on the contrast of the green grass in the foreground where I was standing, versus the rugged brown rocks on the opposite side of the cliff.
Then this single tree showing life amidst the other seemingly dead trees surrounding it against the background of the open spaces behind it.
And this beautiful tree...
The next photo is of another tree which I also shared in my previous post. But I thought it would look good in black and white as well, so today I am sharing this photo in black and white.
Now let's appreciate a view of the open spaces before we carry on...
Some contrasts again...the detail of the seemingly dead wood of the tree in the foreground versus the rocks on the opposite side of the cliff again.
I discovered a new viewpoint while we were on this outing. Here I was on my way from the road where we left the car, going down to the viewpoint.
One of the views as seen form this viewpoint.
They decided to create a nice little bench using some cement and rocks from the area.
I took the next photo while standing behind the bench, giving you an idea of the view you would enjoy should you decide to sit down and relax for a while on this little bench.
And that brings us to the end of today's post.
Thank you for reading post! I do appreciate it!
interesting how you share a different take on the same walk, it highlights there is so much to see all around us if we open our eyes and take it all in
Thanks for joining the Wednesday walk
Have a great day
I think we need to slow down a bit to start with and then take that time to be more aware of what is around us.
Thank you for feedback, @tattoodjay! I do appreciate it!
You must have a great day too!
yes I do agree so many people are in such a rush these days, I think when I got back into photography a few years ago it helped me to slow down relax and see more of what is around
I'm glad to hear that! And today we all get to enjoy the results of that by looking at your photos! I have great admiration of your work!
I hope everyone could that tree in the first photo
Standing firm despite of all challenges thrown in life!
That is a very valid point that you are making there! I fully agree with you! Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us, @lhes! I do appreciate it!
