Walking to the Beach

in Wednesday Walk16 days ago

I remember that this trip did not start in the best way. My brother and I argued and although the walk was with my family, you won't see them in the following pictures, even though we were only a few meters away. But just like my stories every Wednesday, the walk had the strength to make us calm down and reflect on what we were doing; after all we were just a few moments away from spending a day at the beach together, and that had not happened, at least since I've been with my girl.

It turns out that there were two roads to the beach, one was official and that we had already known the day before thanks to me, full of beautiful scenery, crossing a national park and at the same time was the only official road for vehicles to reach this beach. Ah, there was also the option to buy some groceries that we needed. That was the road I wanted to take with my mother and my wife, it gave me more security, but it would take us 45 minutes from the place where we were staying.

The other was my brother's easy trail, one that started from the front of the place where we were staying and that at a good pace would only take 10 to 15 minutes on foot. An unpaved road that made us ignore it the day before, since it was raining and we assumed there was a lot of mud. My brother is not very good at giving details, he only told us that there were many farm animals, insects and thousands of crabs, which terrified my wife, and wow his description was as lousy as the beginning of it, which was guarded by some dogs that did not give me any confidence... But look at these pictures, we really didn't do too bad.

The first five minutes were terrible, but mainly it was due to my disposition with the area, the houses, the dogs and the local people, I was really upset about the discussion and other things that happened prior to leaving, but the nature made me connect quickly with what I went to do in this place. I should not be surprised, the official trail was not far away and showed the best landscapes that a national park can offer, and evidently what we walked this day was what you could see in depth in the other pictures (which I will share with you later).

Evidently I am a man of the city. When I walk through parks I always know that a few meters away is everything I need in case of an emergency, but in the middle of nowhere I feel helpless, something that happens since my dad had his car accident and I still don't get over it. Walking alone perhaps causes me less terror, but when I feel that I am protecting the women I love the most, I am always in attack and defense mode at the same time so that nothing bad happens to them. The good thing about being a bit annoyed was the silence on the way, I always stayed behind to take pictures, but in the end we arrived happy and enjoyed our family beach day 😉

Thanks for joining the Wednesday walk
Have a great day :)

Many thanks to you my dear friend, it's always fun to post on Wednesday Walk 🙏

How are you dear friend @jesuslnrs Good morning
I'm sorry that this beautiful walk didn't start as you expected; these things happen when we try to spend the day with our relatives, in fact, I would say that if there is no discussion before starting things we are not doing them as a family, but as you say, the discussion had its benefit, since you had to walk in silence and you enjoyed the sounds of wildlife
What a beautiful place you have visited, ideal to do it with the people you love
Beautiful photographs
Have a great day, I appreciate that you have shared this hiking experience

Hahahahaha, I loved your comment because it's so real. With friends everything is very nice and everyone makes a great effort, but with family all the sincerity comes out, after all they are the people who know us best. Thank you very much for commenting my dear...
