RE: It's Snowing (a lot) in Stockholm

I agree. I tend to suffer when it's cold. But I also get used to it somehow. Now it's like 5 degrees Celsius outside and that doesn't feel so cold anymore all of a sudden haha.

What I'm busy with. That's a good question. I do feel rather busy even though I don't 'work' at the moment. I feel rather scattered to be honest. Doing my best to find my inspiration again. Currently doing a training that hopefully will help with that. I guess it's just a bit challenging to make any long-term plans at the moment because I know I'll leave Stockholm as soon as my flat is sold.

I am reading very interesting things in a book about the effect of cold on the body. I mean that's not what the book is about, but there's a passage about cold immersion.

Scientists at Charles University in Prague, writing in the European Journal of Applied Physiology, conducted an experiment in which ten men volunteered to submerge themselves (head out) in cold water (14 degrees Celsius) for one hour. This is 57 degrees Fahrenheit.
Using blood samples, the researchers showed that plasma (blood) dopamine concentrations increased 250 percent, and plasma norepinephrine concentrations increased 530 percent as a result of cold-water immersion.

Then there's a whole passage about a study made on hibernating squirrels, but I spare you that part haha.

Oh that's exciting right? Also I hope that your training is going well!

Wow, that's very interesting. It's not for me though, haha. To submerge myself in cold water (even though that's quite common here).

That was also a nice reminder, I studied one semester at Charles University in Prague, long time ago, haha. Had the time of my life.

Haha. Please don't hold back. Always happy to hear your thoughts.
