RE: Wednesday Walk - Scenes from the Northwoods

in Wednesday Walk4 years ago

Man. This is quite an experience you had this Wednesday. The porcupine leaves a lot of good memories.
The adventure into the thick forest is another escapade.
I love that torrent from the waterfall. It is just another shape like the one I am used to seeing here in Africa.
You know, I had expected to see one porcupine hugging out from the woods but none appeared at the end of this expedition.
The wilderness experience is one thing I would love to try out. On a second thought, I hope there hasn't been an attack from wild animals though.
Nice Wednesday walk you had here.

I was really hoping to see a porcupine as well. I think they are mostly nocturnal though and hide away in the thick forest during the day. But if you do end up spotting one they don't really run away too fast and you can get a decent look at them. Maybe next time I go there I'll be lucky to spot one. The only scary animals that could attack would be bears and that is only if you have alot of food with you that they would smell.

Bears? That's really going to be scary. I haven't seen on except in the movies.

Yeah they are startling when you see them but they usually don't attack if you make loud noises and act aggressive. But if you have food in your tent while you sleep then they will try and eat everything in the tent including you.

Then I would dare going to the territory they use as habitat.

You just need to take your food and put it in a bag then hang it high up in a tree, then the bears will leave you alone. They really just want your food but if they find it next to you they go into an eating frenzy.
