Wow...I wish I could have shown this to my wife a month ago! I've been trying for years to get her to agree to a vacation in the UP, especially that area by the Porcupines...somehow I always get overruled...somehow...

It is perfect there in fall, definitely worth going. There are a few lodges and resorts to stay at if she doesn't want the harsh camping conditions that me and my fiance experienced lol. It was cold and rainy one day fortunately our tent kept the water out. Fortunately that only lasted one day and the rest were cloudy and sunny.
NIce, yeah I can't wait to visit that area. We try to rent a cabin for a week on the Great Lakes once a year...I really thought she'd go for the UP this year, but Grand Marais won out again.
Yeah that one is on my list to go to someday. The hiking looks really good up there, I bet the food might be better too lol. There are basically no good restaurants in the UP standard pizza and burgers everywhere in a bar setting.
Oh yeah...sounds like Northern Wisconsin. Pizza, burgers, beers...I used to live up by Wausau, and anything north of there was always interesting for bars.
Grand Marais does have some really good restaurants, and the hikes up there are sweet. I would love to own a cabin up there someday, but that seems expensive - lol. Maybe when I can retire off of Bitcoin, I'll do it
Hopefully bitcoin will pay off or they could end up regulating it to death, I'm trusting the math/scarcity for now.
me too - I do believe new ATHs will happen in the next few years. Then I can travel and take photos for a living (or pretend to, and not have to worry about cash).
