Yeah the water was warm enough to swim but the wind was really cold. The black river is full of iron, copper and other minerals so the water gets really dark. Then right next to it is the presque isle river which is also full of minerals. It is totally worth going to this place especially around August since it will be warm enough to swim.

Someday I will have to be tough and go up there during the winter... This is what happens to the waterfalls during winter up there
