Wednesday Walk Around the Acushnet Sawmill
This post if for Wednesday walk challenge And Make me Smile Collaboration challenge, initially our collaboration was once a month but due to the popularity of it we have decided to make the collab a weekly thing :)
Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.
This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines
Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.
Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.
Try and get a few shots not just one
Add a bit of a write up about where you walked
You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.
Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss
Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .
Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.
I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules
I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk.

As I mentioned above Wednesday Walk is collaborating with the [Make Me Smile] hosted by @elizacheng,

Your post can be writing, singing, video, poem,drawing, photography etc.... the most important part is your post Make me" smile, Remember, the ME is whoever read/view/listen to your post and this includes YOURSELF.

c. Please include at least 50 Words in your post
This weeks walk around the Acushnet Sawmill
On Sunday I shared some shots of the fall colors around the Acushnet Sawmill, a park here, well trails may be a better word for it, and I said I had been thinking of saving them for this post, but for this walk post instead of the fall colors I will focus on the trails and the walk.
Soon into the walk you have two options of which way to go, to the right heads down a path and then stops at a private property, so I generally head left

Down this trail, nice warm autumn colors at this time of the year the red berries really popping out and grabbing our attention

The trails are nice and wide and an easy walk, although after rain they can be a little slippery

We have a good storm last night and today trees and powerlines down all over the place
I hope I am not tempting fate but we’re lucky and still have power
But I think the fall colors will be done fir the steady after this

Oh, that's bad. Hopefully the luck will stay with you, or better the storm has moved away from you.
When I look at the already falling leaves here, you might be right that such a storm will fast forward that process.

I just looked out back tones of trees down in the cemetery behind us and one that was very colorful a few days ago is totally bare

Wow, that must have been a really strong storm - I'm glad that you were lucky and didn't have damages or worse.
And you were lucky because you have got some photos with Autumn colors because now it might be too late at many places.

I just heard from the kids one of her family is without power and can’t leave their property as a power line us down and sparking on the road by their driveway and Tons if trees blocking the road even if they could get out
They have been told a team won’t get there fir 36 hours or more

That sounds really bad. We have also had valleys cut off for days from time to time mostly because of snow and avalanches, but I myself haven't had any of such experiences yet. Hopefully they have enough to eat and drink and the rescue team will get to them earlier.

This morning it’s lightly raining now but meant to stop shortly still fairly windy but I will try to get a walk in

Wow, those colors are amazing! I am heading up north today and I am hoping that I am not too late for the leaves changing. We had a ton of rain and then those heavy winds that are heading your way, so I a not sure how many leaves are even going to be left on the trees...
Last night and still now we have had heavy rain and win, I looked outside just now so many branches down, leaves everywhere so I am not sure how much color will be left when this finishes
Also it was our rubbish and recycling day the wind blew over all the bins empty bottles and cans everywhere down the road, looking down the street I saw only one bin that had not been blown over onto the street
I am glad I caught these colors when I did
Oh no. That is horrible. Hopefully it moves through fairly quickly!
I had a vascular scan this morning driving to there saw some many trees and powerlines down
Driving back I saw crews working so there on to it quickly
Everything go good with the scan?
I hope so but my appointment with the dr is in two weeks so will know then
It’s a routine yearly scan of my legs after having had a few blockages

Oh yeah I found your walk. That's a beautiful place. I love the trail. Love the feeling of walking on the trail with a lot of trees around.

I was expecting to see a sawmill timber factory but hey nothing wrong with fall colors :)
Well all signs of the sawmill are long gone
I would have loved if even just a part of it remained
Did they tear it down, or was it just nature taking its course?
I was curious about that myself but I didn’t find a clear answer
I see what you mean a old shed or partly old sheds would have made some nice B&W photos.

Yes, all the reviews are good, except in low light situations...so I will be preparing to buy it, but will make the decision right on the 11th hour...lol...then I've got plenty of more time to consider all of the pros and cons...
Good to take your time and make an informed choice
Do you often take photos in low light for example if not then that may nit be an issue
Yeah, I've got my friends Sabrina checking it out for me too.
Hope the pros will outweigh the cons and that won't be so much of an issues- it can't be any worse that the iphones anyway really can it...
I am sure it will be a lot better than the iphone
Yeah me too...lol.. and Sabrina is lamenting the fact that she has been so busy with her other glamping and movie night businesses, that she has had no time to take her new $4.5k 47mp camera out since she bought it in June (though we have been in lockdown for most of that time anyway...so no travel or weddings for her to shoot)

thanks for thhe orientation. i will try to join in. i just had a sunset walk but the sky was all gray.
Sunsets and sunrises we never know what nature will give us
the only time we experienced autumn was when we traveled to seoul and it was late autumn so we only saw a little bit of the colors...
I missed autumn when I lived in places when the seasons hardly changed that said I did not miss winter much lol
i live in the Philippines and our rainy season isn't even that cold... i have learned from many of my friends who live in a place where they experience winter that they don't like it too.. they travel during winter and spend some time in a warmer place...winter is not very pleasing they say
I lived in Singapore for three years so I Can relate to that climate but I kind of missed the changing seasons
It looks like a really colorful, yet peaceful area where you can just stroll around and really let you mind go, forgetting about all the hustle and bustle out there!
